This one is out there but i think that the outlaws should form some sort of motor claim rule. I know it worked to keep the competion somewhat even in the shitboxes around here. It might keep some of the teams from spending so much more money on motors and such. Of course it would have to have some restrictions but its just a thought. im sick of seeing unlimited bugets and unlimited funds ruling and bringing the excitement level down in this sport...

That same thought crossed my mind today too. I bet Tony wouldn't go for that though. And he probably has as much clout with the outlaws as Ohio State has in making sure NCAA football doesn't have a playoff.

why don't you see if imca will sanction the outlaws and then some eastsider can get a 40,000 engine for $350. makes perfect sense.

Not a bad idea. My question is, if Meyers can beat Kraig Kinser night in and night out, why can't he beat Schatz? Kinser's funds are just the same as Schatz, but why is he so much quicker? Could it be the person behind the wheel? Wow, I would hate to piont out the obvious. Maybe somebody is just a better driver. The truth hurts I know, but sometimes you just have to pull your panties up and take it.

johlz the reason donny is so much faster than kraig is because the so called "team" cars are not acutal team cars, they both have completly different equipment. Donnys car is a J&J with a shaver power plant, while Kraig runs a Maxim Chassis with Kistler power plant. All Tony did was buy Donny's team and let him run his own stuff...wich basically means Tony bought a championship. A team means running the same stuff as your teammate with different set up...point in case Kasey Kahne Racing...same chassis same motors

like i said its just an idea im throwin out there...the rule would have to be modified to fit the cost of a 410 motor...and how you can claim a motor has to be a little more strict too but it could be done...jesus...and plus i love how i come up with just an idea and then all of a sudden everyone thinks im bitching...haha...its great...and ya...anyone who follows the outlaws would know that donnys team and kraigs team are not the same...two totally different teams just like ckfan said...so THAT is how he beats kraig everynight and not schatz...

I know they run different equipment, I was arguing your statement about unlimited budgets ruling. Just because you have an unlimited budget, does not make you faster than everybody else. That is where I used Kraig as an example.

Because you typically are lately. Read your all your posts from the last month - then have someone you know read them - without knowing they're your posts, I'm sure they would say the same thing.

how about a sealed spec engine built by one engine builder. that will keep costs down! you only would have one option the builder could charge what ever they wanted. or better make them run ford focus engines and rename the series IMCA presentsWCS whiney c**k suckers. let the racers race and quit trying to make everything like the ascs.

Ridiculous idea to have a claimer rule on a division running $40,000 engines. If you want to cut costs, there are many better ways than a claimer rule. Claimer rules are put in place to try and keep budget divisions from getting out of hand. And even then, it often does not serve its intended purpose because there is an unwritten code that drivers won't make claims against one another.

How about this for an idea, if you can't spend enough to be on the road and compete with the big dogs, don't. Sprint cars are not cheap and running the full outlaw schedule is extremely costly. If you want to race somewhere you don't have to spend a ton of money at, there are plenty of your so called "shitboxes" racing everywhere with claim rules and spec engines, tires, wheels, ect. They have different guys winning all the time and actually put on a decent show.

if there was a claim rule someone would tear-down one of Donny's motors and see whats inside it and it would be all over for Donny-----do you guys really think someone in this day and age could come from back too the front even on a perfect track against the best drivers in the country ?

Sounds like a PA conspiracy to me if I ever heard one!
