In 410 winged sprints, there is no doubt it's Donny Schatz.

mobbs..only you are brain dead.

Look back at the post...notice the icons...and if you can read...read the last part of the final sentence.

I'm beginning to believe one of two things about you:

1. There were no survivors in your wreck

2. Your brother is an only child! Frown

Greg Hodnett. 16 wins in Posse land is not easy by any means.

Wow, I had no idea. That is quite an accomplishment. Super nice guy and glad to read about all his wins.

well even though sammy finished behind donny in points, if i remember correctly he had the most wins, fast times, top fives, top tens and maybe most heat wins or something like that.

not only does it seem he led the woo in those categories, according to some people sammy leads in the category of being the biggest a$$ to ever sit in a sprint car.

that seems to top donny.

now, donny just did what he does, and he did it driving the same car in the same series all year. the same thing he has done for over a decade.

then you get some kid like larson who won over 25 races in wing 410, wing 360, non wing, midgets, and stock cars, in several different series as well as winning the championship in his rookie year in a type of car he only started driving this year, it seems he should get some kind of recognition when it comes to over all driver. also since larson has had his claws clipped as far as being able to run non winged sprints, it may be some time until we see his accomplishments duplicated.

i don't care who they are or where they come from, if you have a driver that does all that in a single season, and they get over looked for an all around driver of the year, something is wrong.

so now let the idiots cackle.

to indy and beyond!!

Has 20 wins. More than anyone in the country. This has to go to Tim Crawley.

I'm not disagreeing with you buzz on larson. but sammy no, not just because i'm not a fan. I don't think you can base it on who has the most wins, fast times, top fives, and top tens. Winning a championship sure helps. I'm gonna use a little college football bcs formula here. I think it should depend on quality wins, and strength of schedule. You can sure make an arguement for larson, but schatz once again had some big wins again to go with another championship. also how many series and different cars did larson win in this year?

I don't necessarily disagree with you on the Larson points, I think his accomplishments speak for themselves and I would probably vote for him as the all around open wheel driver of the year as well. I did want to clarify though that Sammy led in wins with 2 more than Donny and a lot of quick times but Donny had the most top 5s and top 10s, If Sammy had led all of those categories he would of been the point champion. Point championships are won by consistency and I am impressed this year with the 15 team cause they did not come out of the gate good, I actually can't believe they pulled it together the way they did to win another.
