I have been informed that two seperate speedweeks will happen in Ohio in 2024. One of course will be sanctioned by FAST by way of HL , where the other one sounds more unofficial that will take place with Attica , Fremont , Waynesfield & possibly more. Im not sure when the second one will take place but the FAST sanctioned will be during the traditional dates. Thoughts everyone?
The best racetracks are in the middle of nowhere

If true I'll guess Sharon and Wayne county will be on board maybe Millstream.

Awe it's like when the parents divorce, the children (fans) get 2 Christmases & 2 Birthday parties.
But everyone is unhappy.

Many thoughts. So many thoughts. But mainly just upset and disappointed. Hopefully in the long run it'll work out but for at least the next few years it will be a divided and resentful Ohio. That's not good for anyone.
Thanks to Brad, Kyle, Tony, and Flo for making sprint car racing "better" with your visionary plans.

The amount of bitching and complaining, especially on here, about HL is unbelieveable. Exactly why are you "upset and dissappointed"? Ohio Speedweek will continue, 410 sprint car racing at all the Ohio tracks that previously ran them will continue. Hell, even a shuttered track (Milstream) is returning. Why are people so threatened by HL? Is it that you are just afraid the "Greatest Show on Dirt" now has some serious competition, and actually might have to step up their game after all these years?

The WoO does not have to up their game to become the industry standard. They already are. They can guarantee X number of cars of high quality. Nobody else can do that. Competition should be good but they are still the standard one other is striving to be.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

You do support all of this increasing growth of the sport right? You've always been quite opinionated of how the sport should be better.

I am no WoO homer, and my complaints are not about HL. My issues lie with the current and former owners of the All Stars. Their actions are what has me upset and disappointed. Why? Because to me the All Stars weren't just America's Series, they were MY series. I grew up with them, and being an Ohioan I considered Speedweek their biggest event. So the All Stars' apparent demise and resulting negative issues with Speedweek mean something more to me than just what is going on between WoO and HL.
Yes, Millstream reopening is great. Yes, OH's weekly programs go on. But TWO Speedweeks is bad. Neither would be fully supported by teams, tracks, or fans. And if there truly is bad blood between the two organizing parties then we're in for conflict for at least a few years. This new era could be an awesome opportunity to really use Speedweek to elevate sprint car racing in the entire state, but that doesn't appear to be what's going to happen (at least not now). Had anyone who bought or sold the All Stars put some thought into this beyond just owning the naming rights, then none of this would be happening.

I think Tony was to busy with his life and all his racing businesses so something could go and since Sweet and Larson wanted it selling the All Stars was easy.

This statement is exactly how I fell about the situation. People don't understand how inportant the All Stars were to Ohio and it's sale took a lot of good races away for Ohio teams. Yes, there's still sprint racing in Ohio, but the most marketable entity is now gone. High Limit boutht the All Stars took all the big races and killed the series. Yes, there will be a sppedweek but it will be a shell of what it was because nobody can agree how it should be handled.
High Limit only helps the high funded travelling teams hence it being a national series. The All Stars had a region they concentrated on and provided a known solid product that people wanted to see and race with. That is gone and hurts sprint car racing as a whole in my opinion.

In the " old "days, we would actually go to an ASCoC race and not know who was going to win. Now we can stay home and watch who we know are going to win. I think they call it taking it to a new level.

The All Stars had 22 drivers win races last year, so let's not make it out like it's a boring one team series.
Yes they're taking it national, so you can so it's "a new level". But as I said before they destroyed the All Stars to do it, which hurt this area greatly. I understand what High Limit is trying to do. I just don't think they understood how their actions would afffect 410's on a more regional level.

They're creating a national series to compete with Dirtvision/WoO for streaming viewership with a revenue sharing model that they view more beneficial to the teams. Maybe this is exactly what sprint car racing needs, I have no idea. What I do know is how it has negatively effected my region of the country.

No one will benefit nearly as much as the 2 series owners will.

As an outsider- I live on the upper plains- it seems to me that if All-Stars/ Ohio gig was such a good thing, someone will come in to fill that void.
