TULSA, Okla. (August 29, 2007) – Due to several scheduling conflicts in the area over the upcoming weekend, track management at Susquehanna Speedway Park in Newberrytown, PA, and American Sprint Car Series officials have agreed that it would be in the best interest of both parties to cancel the ASCS Mid-Atlantic Regional portion of Sunday night's event at SSP.
With the racing season winding down in the northeast, it is not expected at this time that the event will be rescheduled.
With no other remaining events currently on the ASCS Mid-Atlantic Region schedule, Tim Hogue of Lumberton, NJ, holds a 12-point lead over 14-year-old Coleman Gulick of Binghamton, NY, in the inaugural ASCS Mid-Atlantic Region championship chase. George Suprick of Clarks Summit, PA, is another 20 points back in third.
