I just got back from Palm Springs after spending Thanksgiving with my family from back east. Thank God for having a daughter that gets employee rates from the hotel chain she works for! Anyway, I have to say that the facilities in Irwindale are the best of any track that I've been too. I'm not a big fan of asphalt racing, that said the races were run off in a timely matter. Including starting on time, and finishing around 11:15. We were able get out of the track within minutes of leaving. The racing was great (although I'm not a big fan of Ford Focus Midgets) no extended down times other than when Cory Swanson flipped down the backstrech in the sprint feature. The fact that he led a good portion of the 100 lap midget feature, and finished second was a plus for me. Anyway, I must say that more tracks should look at the way that Irwindale runs their shows. Later, David.
