By Bill Sullivan

PENNGROVE, CA – Penngrove’s Alissa Geving will be a featured guest on the upcoming episode of The Full Throttle Racing Show hosted by veteran racing journalist and broadcaster John Katich out of Knovillle, Iowa. The live program will air on Tuesday, April 29 at eastern time, on the west coast and can be heard at www.dirtvision.com.

The Full Throttle Racing Show has been on the air for over five years now. The program covers a wide range of dirt track racing from the national level to the local, grassroots programs in rural areas. Recently the program has launched a weekly Northern California segment, covering various weekly events on the west coast and various venues including the Golden State Challenge Series, the Civil War Sprint Car Series and more.

Geving is known best for her success on her home track of Petaluma Speedway. In 2007 at the age of 15 the third generation open wheel racer became the youngest woman nationwide to win a feature event in winged sprint car. That same season she went on to claim a total of four feature victories overall between Petaluma and Antioch Speedway.

In March of 2008 Geving was presented with the prestigious Paul Tyler Rising Star Award by the Motor Sports Press Association. Despite her success at such a young age, Geving maintains a 4.4 grade average at UrsulineHigh School, finds time to participate in community service and boasts a positive, upbeat attitude. Her modest, girl next door personality makes for an ideal role model to children of all ages, encouraging them to follow their dreams but reflecting the importance of higher education as well.

This season, Geving currently leads the point standings in the Petaluma Speedway All Pro Series point standings as she seeks her first career driving championship. She is also competing in the Hoosier Racing Tires Civil War Series where she is ranked 14th with two events complete in the 15 race series that resumes on Saturday, May 3 with the prestigious “Tribute to Al Hinds” event at Placerville Speedway.

The Full Throttle Racing Show takes to the air live every Tuesday at 8 p.m. Eastern, 7 p.m. Central, and 5 p.m. Pacific, at www.dirtvision.com and Listeners are encouraged to participate in the show by sending questions and comments to the host or guests via email to host John Katich at: [email protected]
