I prefer Eldora because I beleive it has more to offer in the way of ambience and the vibe.  Plus mixed drinks are only $4.00...

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

I like them both.  I would give Knoxville the edge though - that is my favorite track!  The Knoxville Nationals is the best event of the year!

Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

Dunkins track prep is the best. Both have great tradition but Eldora more high paying races.

This isn't even close. Remember that time Knoxville had a bad track during a big money event? Ya me neither. 175k on the line and dudes just bouncing all over the corners. Redic. And sitting on the turns? Lol.

Don't get me started with format. Total joke. 175k and you can set QT, win your heat but let's jack around and send you as far back as possible for the feature instead of earning a pole in a straight up. Insane. Save that BS format for weekly or one off events. Not your crown jewel. This all why it's so easy for Knoxville to run so far out in front of all others.  Not. Close. No. Contest.

Well...me and PPM agree. Eldora is a joke. Please remove it from convo of top tracks. Just because they hold a bad format high paying race doesn't make this track and show one of tops in season.

After this past weekend, It has become Knoxville for me. I go to both tracks each year including the Kings Royal and Knoxville Nationals. To me the only thing Eldora has over Knoxville is its high banked and I subjectively prefer high banked tracks. Knoxville however has a better facility, format, atmosphere, and fans. With the way the Kings Royal crowd is becoming, we are really scrapping at the bottom of the barrel when it comes to humanity with the way some people act there. Some people that I see in the crowd each year seem to have a goal of, "let's see if I can outperform my stupidity from last year", and unfortuantely for those of us who know how to act in public it is the only goal those idiots are able to achieve each year.

Knoxville however seems to have a crowd that has people who want to be there and are fans of the sport. There is an appreciation level and more respect for each other there. You are more likely to have someone walk up to you on the street and ask where are you from and what tracks you go to and just have a conversation about all the races you have been too, how long you have been to races, your favorites, etc. Oh and the more important thing, the racing a Knoxville is usually better. I have been to several Kings Royal's where the racing has sucked from beginning to end. A "bad" Knoxville Nationals (at least to their standards) is typically just as good as a very good Kings Royal. To me if it wasn't for Schatz coming from where he did to challenge Gravel, this one would have been just as big of a dud as last years.

The last two years the Kings crown has reduced in size immensely. I must have missed why it changed. Does anyone know the reason why?........................the old crown was much better!

I’d say when Earl was running it probably Eldora.  The track had a good sound surface, top dominant but really racy.  It felt like a throwback track.  Now it’s like a track that doesn’t know what it wants to be.  Nice suites and upgrades yet old wooden bleachers.  And to top it off, a racetrack that is becoming unwatchable.  It was a great feature no doubt, the the game of Who Can Run Through the Rough Ruts the best is frankly something I expect at Chico(which I also avoid)

Im going to struggle going back until they can figure out a way to get the rugs out of 1 and 3.  I’m going to focus on Port and add in a trip to Husets and maybe Wilmot and save Eldora until they fix it.

knoxville hands down,

Well for my two cents

I think the racing at Eldora is more exciting

BUT

The dust conditions there are TERRIBLE...just like the rest of Ohio Tracks...their dirt sucks

Knoxville has good racing too..... i don't think the speed is the same

i wish they would truck some Knoxville dirt to Eldora ....i think the banking at Eldora makes for terrific racing

Can't beat Knoxville nor the nationals. From the black gumbo dirt, to the amenities, to the format, to the fact that the track is literally in the middle of town making it walkable to just about anywhere. The place is ideal and they keep improving it. Have met a lot of good people by camping/parking in people's yards. You don't get that anywhere else.

Been to the Nationals many times along with  The Kings Royal at Eldora,  For me Eldora is the "down home" have a party track.  The Woodstock track of racing.  Knoxville is like the "suit and tie gang",  prim and proper with seating like sardine cans, flat track with not much passing.   The speeds and the action at Eldora is intense with that great banking, lots of passing.  Is there a difference in the fan base between the two states maybe, ?

The 50/50 was close to $83,000, winners share...

Location, location, location kind of like realestate.  Knoxville is six hours most freeway.  Went to Eldora for the Mopar Million, fourteen hours and through Chicago.

I've said it before, I'll say it again..Eldora is the best LM track in the country, but it's not even a top 5 sprint car track. Regardless of what Donny did, that surface was a joke, and the format is absurd for that kind of money.

Knoxville, by a lot!

Beautiful facility, that knows about track prep!

Eldora-a dive, where one needs a mask for the dust.

I can understand dust, but not a torrential dust storm, at all of Eldora's races.
