And in 3.....2.......1. Let the complaining begin about where they won't be.

I actually like the schedule and will probably be going to multiple races. As for the people who are thinking.....what about Eldora being a 4day show for Kings Royal? Well they announced it will be, the first 2 will be unsanctioned as of now and unprecedented according to them

No Lernerville, again. Don Martin's rollin in his grave. Hard to believe the Lucas Late Models bring in more money than the WoO sprints and late models.

WoO Silver Cup - packed

All Stars Silver Cup - not so much

My beef, since you asked for it..... no tracks in western Canada.

Serious thought, I have to admit I don't know where many of these tracks are and it is overwhelming trying to keep them all straight. So with BAPS, is this a first for the track to have  WoO show?

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Baps will be a good show I feel. I will never understand why Selinsgrove is overlooked, and I know the list of reasons, but I would love to see them at path valley. The racing on that little banked bullring would be great.  There is enough tracks in pa that they could easily make the eastern tour a really big deal. It would probably kill pa speedweeks and with sanctioning fee's being what they are the promotors are making more money.

Yeah California swing looks real weak with long tows past good tracks.

Makes no sence why they don't run 7 out of ten days there in California.

Also to drop Perris the last half mile running in California makes me wonder if Perris will be running in 2023.

20 mins from Tulare thunderbowl and not running. It's always a packed house for outlaws too.

instead going 4 hours up to Placerville next day real gas saver haha...thanks Brad

I agree with your analysis about the California swing. Why not more races in a shorter time? I also agree about Tulare. I don't understand why they wouldn't run there. In my opinion it's a better track with better racing than Keller. Also, I do think that Perris is doomed. I spent lots of time there and have a ton of memories of that place.

If Perris bites the dust (and hopefully not), what becomes of non-wanged racing in SoCal?

If the construction/traffic issues come true for Perris, perhaps it was the promoter that did not want a high purse WoO show in 2023

California is tough because of traffic. That makes dates on Friday or midweek tough to pull off. So you're left with Saturdays, and unprofitable events on other days. Which is I assume why they have to spend multiple weeks there in the spring, rather than a quick 2 week trip with 3-4 dates per week.

That and the weather of course stinks in March there.

People are critical of the Outlaws, but they have replaced a big portion of their schedule rather easily which shows the health of the series.

No races in Oregon. :-(   Always enjoyed the Outlaws at Cottage Grove.

i wonder if the increased pa presence is an effort to crowd out other series.  the all stars just put out their schedule and it seems like there are a lot less pa races.  the dirt classic must not be all star sanctioned on its new labor day weekend date.  i only see williams grove once at the end of may.  all stars added selinsgrove while the outlaws added baps.

it adds up to pa being a battleground for sprint car dollars...which shouldn't come as a surprise to anybody.  i won't miss those all start races since they haven't been as strong lately but still like to see those drivers come through from time to time.

March in Pa. can be from 0 to 80 sometimes in the same week.

It's my belief that the wingless sprint cars in So Cal are already on life support. They run a fraction of the races that they used to and the quality of the fields has deteriorated (I'm not bashing the guys who spend the money and race, either).  Perris used to be their home track, but I don't really think you can call it that anymore since they hold few races there anymore. Looking at the schedule, there were only 5 stand alone USAC/CRA shows at Perris this year. Add the race held in conjunction with the WoO and the Oval Nationals and you are up to 9. In it's heyday, they would hold 2 and sometimes 3 sprint car shows a month from April through October. In the years 2000 & 2003 SCRA had 18 for example.. In 2004 USAC/CRA had 18. These numbers are not counting the Oval Nationals, either. I can't say that I blame drivers/owners for not investing in the cars if there is no guarantee of a decent number of home track events. The decline started when SCRA was ousted and USAC took over the sanction. That wasn't the whole problem, of course, but it didn't help. Add to that the traffic issues in the area, the aging of the fan base and now the State of California just making their plight that much worse and it doesn't look good.

That sucks. I'd rather have more all-star races and less outlaws to be honest.
