Knocked the front off of the car in the firrst lap crash. Front of the car was destroyed but.....they put coil over shocks on her and were able to get back out and salvage a good finish. That's one of the many reasons that they are a championship team, prepared.

I have noticed several teams have some coil overs tucked away for this exact reason. Champinship moves right there.

Brad will be ok....it seems he has been on cruise control for the last year. Hasn't won much in the last year just gets the best finishes he can get each night.
The 15 NEEDS Ricky Warner....without him the 15 is lucky to get into the top 5 most nights.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!

Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

When I watched the highlights on twitter Johnny Gibson made a comment that the 49 was rolling freely into the work area and shared his assumption that the damage couldnt be too bad. It was also nice that they showed a replay of the incident like they do on Youtube. Many teams are capable and prepared to replace the front axel etc in 2 minutes.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

For sure! The 24 of Rico has been just clicking off those wins the entire 2022 season!!!! Ricky is the obvious answer (insert eye roll)

Last year when the 15 could pull Ricky off the shelf the 15 ran better. At this point this year for him to only have one win is really a tell...tell sign. He has only had a few podiums this year. He needs Ricky. Whether he will admit or not. He needs him.

Hey Brad, its a little too early in the season to be point racing. Just kiddin. Remember, he admitted to point racing at end of last year. Maybe he can't get out of that mode.
Lawlessness + liberalism = HELL - NYC, Detroit, Chicago,
Seattle, LA Who the H runs those cities.

Several years ago even before Brad won the Nationals, I took my son to his first Eldora race when he was about a year and a half old. It was one of the May Outlaw races and afterwards we were walking the pits so my son could see the cars. He was walking from car to car touch the tires and when he came to the 49, Brad was standing just inside the hauler talking to his crew chief . Brad immediately stopped talking grabbed a sharpie, came down and greeted my son and started asking if he had fun, what his name was, etc. After that my son was a sweet fan.
Later that year at the Outlaws race during 4crown they ran modifieds after the outlaws and they took forever. To the point a lot of teams were leaving and by the time we got down there the 49 hauler was pulling out. Needless to say to a 1 almost 2 year old it was heartbreaking and he started crying as I was holding him. I tried to explain to him they had to get to the next track and get ready and etc and then to my surprise the hauler stopped, passenger door opened and down came Brad who had probably seen a little kid wearing his shirt crying.
Last year during the Nationals we were at the lot where the KKR cars park just taking pics looking at the cars. All of a sudden Brad walks up with his face shield from his helmet signed and gives it to my son and thanked him for all of the support. Definitely a legend in my book no matter how many races he wins.

So was he checking to see if Rico was OK last night? That was a nasty flip. Who was in the wrong?

Sure seemed to me that Rico chopped Brad off and left him no room. Rico did the same thing on the couple of laps leading up to the flip. Seems like a lot of drivers are coming down across the track chopping cars from entering low and either sliding them or nail the low groove.

Racing deal. Brown tapped wall and Rico had a run and was going to do a slider. Sweet just happened to have a run also and was under Rico. They made contact, simple as that.

Well strawman for once I totally agree. Donnie without a good crew chief is a no where man. When he first joined the outlaws he ran the same way. When Ricky came on board the 2 of them clicked and shatz became a legend. Ricky came back after his illness they seemed as tho they had that magic back but it never jelled. I don't see him in that ride next year.

I don't think Schatz' decline can be attributed to any ONE factor, but after Rico's win at Grandview the other nite, the Ricky Warner factor has some more weight....
