15-year-old, Fresno high-school hearthrob Brooklyn "Pretty" Holland came all the way through one of the Westwern Racesaver 305 fields last year to finish second. And though she was injured enough to spend some time in the hospital a few weeks later, came back to finish fourth in the WR 305 points.
LAST NIGHT, however, she came from third to the front in field of sixteen in a few laps, pulled away on several restarts, fended off Michael Pombo et al, and put on a near faultless clinic for 25 laps to win the WR 305 feature at Hanford's Keller Auto Speedway.
There may be "no crying in baseball," but she and her dad were teary as she spoke to a cheering crowd of about 2,000 witnesses thereafter.
