Kenny Allen set to contest full King of the West-NARC schedule with Ed Butterfield Racing

By Gary Thomas

Chico, CA – February 7, 2019…For the first time in several years Chico, California’s Kenny Allen is gearing up to compete full-time with the traveling King of the West-NARC Fujitsu 410 Sprint Car Series in 2019.

Allen earned Rookie of Year honors and a top-10 finish in the standings with the King of the West-NARC Series during the 2011 season. At the time he was just 16-years-old and fairly new to Sprint Car racing, having been behind the wheel for only two seasons prior.

This year he is excited to tackle the full slate once again aboard the Ed Butterfield Racing No. 76 Sprint Car.

“I’m definitely looking forward to this season and want to thank Ed Butterfield for giving me the opportunity to run the 76 car full-time with the King of the West-NARC Sprint Car Series,” Allen commented. “It should be fun to run some new tracks and return to others that I haven’t been to in a while. Along with the EBR 76 I’m also going to mix in events with our own Allen Racing 7K, so I’m excited to get plenty of seat time this season.”

Last year Allen ran a full season at the Marysville Raceway and brought home a runner up finish in the Winged 360 Sprint Car standings. The now 23-year-old driver picked up one victory along the way and missed out on the title by seven slim points.

Allen and the Ed Butterfield Racing team will get the King of the West-NARC Fujitsu 410 Sprint Car Series season underway on Saturday March 2 at the Stockton Dirt Track. It marks the first of 20 events throughout California, which eventually ends up back in Stockton for championship night on November 2.

Kenny Allen would like to thank Ed Butterfield Racing, Malcolm Drilling, Kruse Well Drilling, Chico Truck & RV Custom Trailer Sales, RacingJunk.com and inTech Trailers for their support this season.
