If you can use that "I told ya so" elsewhere, I' advise you to go ahead and do it. You won't need it in regards to your prediction about the 41. They aren't going anywhere.
|
Just one of the same dumbasses that says the 41 is closing shop every year. Last year, it was because of a clean race shop for their open house.

Is this Reutzel to Bell a WoO move? He said preseason he didn't want to run the series until his kids are older. Or is it to get away from Baughman? Also IMO KLR will be temporarily suspended regardless if Larson gets a Cup ride or not. Larson gets more sponsorship on Silva's #57 than his own WoO team. Gravel to a part time team while pursuing Truck, while JJR looks for a Full-Time driver. Would hate to see Roth leave the Tour, but you almost expect it every year. Don't know if Bayston is a true long term answer, but seems no one is. Would love Shane or Tim K to get one shot on the Tour in the 83.
Baughman-Reutzel - Reutzel leaving? Is there a #17 on the ASCoC with Ian Madsen in 2021?
KLR - part time at the most, I predict Silva coming together fully and the #57 is the only car with part time appearances with Larson, Gio Scelzi, Rico, and Gravel.
JJR - Phil Dietz stepping away as Crew Chief with a Macedo/Gaerte acquisition?
Dietz Motorsports - PPM full time?
Roth 83 - Do they step away from the tour? Keep Bayston? throw a veteran in like Tim K, Shane, or Shaffer?
Rudeen Racing - Is this the year they make the jump on the Tour? Eliason is more talented than half the drivers on the WoO IMO.
KKR 9 - McFadden returns in 2021? Is Kahne finished?
Scelzi 41s - In the beginning of the year, this was being treated as Dom's last "outlaw" schedule, does that stand still?
7BC - seen "Sunshine" was slated to run a full-time Wing schedule, would love to see him cut his teeth with the WoO tour as a "satellite teammate" to Haudenschild's 17.
|
Sunshine said in a Rip The Fence episode that the WoO tour is what they are working towards but it would probably be 2022 at the earliest before they did.

Funny, did they change their schedule? Last I had seen the Trucks were running Friday at 7 CT. Alright I'd say Gravel Friday, PPM Saturday.

Well if you want to quote me telling me I'm wrong, I'll quote you and tell you that you're wrong and Parker will be in the 141.

Saw a post that Zeb Wise and the McGhee 11 have parted ways. Both thanked each other for the opportunity. Said that Zeb does not have any plans as of yet for the rest of 2020 or 2021.

|
I bet Shane Stewart to the 41 and Macedo to the 14 after todays news.

While I wouldn't mind seeing these teams, not likely at all. Maybe some part time shows with Shane in the 14, but my guess would be the team is shut down temporarily.

I would like to see a veter driver in that car maybe like a Saldana or Shaffer...they seem to side toward younger drivers but Bayston in particular while having some success seems to be kinda tough on equipment

Saldana? He's gone through more motors in the last 2 years than races attempted. Probably would be better off running Sammy over Joey.

With all do respect and I dont mean that with an ounce of sincerity based on your replies to this thread and others.
Outlaw dirvers are hired to drive the shit out an outlaw team's car. If you think a driver is the reason motors are blowing up in a single night of racing, there is a motor problem not a Saldana problem.
Do you think it's possible that Fisher is doing R&D with the motors that are in the car that Saldana is driving and possibly the "Research" caused some failures? Plausable?

I'm sure you're right, that's why he's being put into rides left and right.

Bayston is usually a talented driver, but in the 83 car he was struggling to make it out of the B main and some races even the C main. :(
Looking forward to the new Golden State King of the
West series schedule!

How's that crow taste Mr. know it all? PPM is not driving the 14 this week.
Also for those wondering about what becomes of the 14 team I will tell you that the 14 team will shut down. But I'd bet if you looked at the 71P this weekend or whenever it races again it would look identical to the 14 except for color scheme. Dietz never had a dime invested and was getting paid to oversee it is all. Just like last year with the 71P (Indy race parts team) last year with Bernie overseeing it. Dietz Motorsports was name only and was all owned by the PPM family. So for now, or should I say still is, PPM is driving the family owned car, only as the 71P this time.
Macedo is most likely bringing big money to the JJR 41 team next year, something Gravel cannot or will not do, which is how the 41 team will keep going.
Gravel will most likely end up in the Quiring 2 car. Not sure where this leaves Shane.
Thats my 2 cents. Let's see how accurate it turns out?

The crow taste? At that moment, nothing had been announced (outside Johnny Gibson tweeting about changing his excel sheet). Not until today had there been any confirmation that he was no longer driving the 141 and that he was in the 71 this weekend. The entire time people were arguing on this site that there wasn't a 141 car and that it was a typo, but we'll see the 141 in action Friday at Lakeside.
Sponsorship is the name of the game. This year with COVID, probably everyone not named Paul Silva came out in the red as owners.
As for Shane, I think the 71 is the best ride out there for him in terms of true outlaw schedule rides. The revolving door that is the Roth 83 is an option, and he was supposed run with them in the California car, or ASCoC rides like the McGee 11 and Buch 13 are open.
