I would be shocked, but its certainly been a breakout weekend for the Shark Team. 3rd & 4th, followed by 1st & 4th, excellent!
I figure Ironman was Logan's biggest win yet?
Good luck, Jacob, Logan & Bobby! :)
I'm claiming them for Posse.....

That would be great. I think they have a chance if everything comes together at the same time. I mean there seems to be a lot of teams with a better chance but they can qualify ok and pass cars so it is doable. But unlikely imo.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Will need to be mighty slick with a tricky but good bottom with both starting up front. Possible? I guess. They usually get good when it slicks off but that is also when the 15 thrives at Knoxville.

Would be a major upset but if Logan can have a good qualifying night, and they hit the setup on Saturday who knows?
Right now the guys i expect to challenge Schatz are Larson, Gravel and Sweet with a potential for the Mad Man or Brown to be in the hunt.

They've been running really well lately. I always knew Logan was a helluva driver. He was good from the start. I'm really impressed (and surprised) with how well Jacob has been doing this year, just keeps getting better. He'll get a WOO win soon.

That would be great to see one of them win the Naionals.
Let's go Sprint Car Racing!
Knoxville - Best Track In the USA!
Eldora - 2nd Best Track in the USA!

I would love to see those two do well. Lord knows they have put in their time and dues. Part of me wonders about their consistency or lack there of. If they can run consistently fast and keep the car running on the track then they have as good of a shot as anybody But keeping the car on the track has been problematic at times this year.

The way they are running right now I think they have a pretty good chance of making a strong run at the win. if the can pull it off the place would go crazy!!!

The Shark team has just as good a shot at winning as anyone else.. the way theyve been running this past weekend they looked very very sharp at Pevely. They keep the momentum going into the nationals I look for them to be contenders!

"The Shark team has just as good a shot at winning as anyone else." ....Ah, come on.....
I'd love to see either of these guys win, but you seem to be forgetting that one guy from N. Dakota, you know "whats his name" who always seems to do well at Knoxville Nats... ;)

Logan has a shot I think. Schatz, Larson, Sweet, Madsen(top tier) Gravel, Brown, Sammy (2nd tier) IMO

so youre saying no one has a shot at beating Schatz? How easy is it for him to have a bad night? crash? mechanical etc? seems to me Schatz was beaten last year by Johnson. So yeah I'd say the Shark team as well as many others have just as good a shot at winning the nationals as anyone. My pick is going to be Brad Sweet. Darkhorse pick Carson Macedo

Of course they all have a shot, but you said " as good a shot at winning as anyone else."
Do you think Robert Bell has a good a chance as Schatz? I don't

If given Donny or the field to bet on, I'd prob bet Donny. When big money is on the line his team seems to always avoid disaster. So long as the 15 car is in the A main, he is winning it until beaten. That said, it is way more fun to talk about the rest and even Donny fans will be rooting for the 41 car and Carson. I've said it before, but I believe in stories before they are written. I can already see the 41 car parked in victory lane Saturday night in front of an emotional crowd.
But lets face it, the place will go nuts for anyone that wins that isnt Donny Schatz. Logan and Jacob are cool choices too. Brown hasnt looked that good racing these guys this season IMO. Surprise pick to win = Ruetzel. He seems like the kind of guy who will drive over you to win if he has to.

Does Logan have the talent to win? Yes, but how often do you lose the big one before winning it? He may need to be close a couple of times before having the experience and patience to win one.
Jacob is probably a couple of years away although this year he seems to have really improved. I've thought his equipment has been holding him back the last couple of years; at times as he seemed to be down on power. Maybe they have improved the engine program or Jacob has been able to take of the equipment better.
Consistency is huge and if these guys can develop more of it, they could be in the hunt.

Would it be a first for a Grandpa and Grandson to both win the National. Not sure of the #15 history with the Ford engine, but I thought I read where Ford wants there engine in the 15 for the National. Could make a huge difference

In the video of the scheme reveal today a fan asked about the Ford engine and Tony said they're currently developing the injection, so not gonna be a Ford in the 15.

Another thing to consider, has Shark Racing had much success at Knoxville? I know Logan made the show before but that’s a far cry from running with Schatz, Larson, Gravel and Sweet.
