Oh I need a break, he opens the door and  ????????  I hope he wins tonight just to hear what he says. Is he going to make the car real wide with the 39m right behind him ?

2nd 39m not in contention.

I agree that his comments sound fishy, BUT

I don't see why so many people here are giving him all the blame... were any of us there when Anthony & his father were "discussing" any of this?

I grew up on the family farm, and it was a very successful family farm.  When I was a teenager, I got up in the morning and did chores.   My dad was the boss. He would ask for my input, but at the end of the day, I did what he said whether I agreed or not.  Then, at around 10:00 each morning, when all chores were done, grandpa showed up.  My dad was no longer the boss.  It didn't matter how strong your opinion was.  It didn't matter how dumb you thought his decisions were.  Grandpa was the successful business man who was the patriarch of the family until the day he died.  We had the respect to know that if not for him, no one would be standing here today.  Sure, we didn't always get along, but his decisions and sacrifice put the farm in a position of success.  At the end of the day, we owed everything to him.  If we didn't agree with his decisions, do we throw a fit?  Act like we should have 50% of the decision making?  No.  We are only in this position because of his hard work.  Ironically, I did not stick around at the farm.  (sound familiar?)  However, if I wanted to stick around at the farm, I didn't own it.  I had no right to control the business.  I can disagree with grandpa all I want, but it was his business and who the @#$k am I to tell him to hand the decisions over to me?

Almost everyone knows? I couldn't even tell you how versions of the story I have heard. Which one should I believe to be among the everyone? One thing I can tell you is none of the versions mention any of the things that I have been hearing for a year or so. I am not however a big fan of this comment. I think he should have remained silent and just showed up to race some time if he wants to. I would be happy if that happens but that is entirely up to him.

Ok....my bad. I meant everyone in the pits. It's not a secret and the story is about 90% accurate no matter who you talk to. I know a lot of people and the story I heard first was from someone who's definitely involved with the situation. I think I know the other things you're hearing and if it's what I think it is, it's true. But it's not something that should be discussed here. Lance has had a few solid runs in the last couple weekends. The 39m is doing fine and Anthony looked good at the Grove tonight in Bernie's hot rod. Hopefully this is the start of a new beginning for him and he gets his head out of his ass. He's got elite talent. I'd hate to see it go to waste and hopefully him and his old man can mend their relationship and maybe even come out of this ordeal better than ever. Sometimes in a relationship, hitting rock bottom is what it takes before that can happen.

It'll be interesting to see Macri's car choice! Bernie might have a different pace now. Speaking of interesting, for sociology dissertation topics, consider "Social Media's Impact on Identity, "Gender Inequality in the Workplace," or "Cultural Influences on Online Communities."

Great post egras, my family went in that same direction. The brothers and families would sit around on Sunday dinners and what took place during the week was forgotton, but, during the week arguments were a common thread.

So you did not say because you would never have been your own man. I left when I was told on a Wednesday morning that I would work where he said for as long as I was told to work there.  On Friday I was at the bank appying for a loan to start my own business (I was 20). By that time I had a good enough reputation among the businessmen of the the community that it was approved. My Dad did not help me much but to his credit he did not try knock my feet out from under me when went out to stand on them. (which I think I saw happen here)

We got along fine for the rest of his life when I was not working fot him. That is why I have supported Anthony through this. It is not always as easy to work for family as some think. Sometimes you are reminded  constantly that you would not be here if not for someone else.

His comments are beyond fishy. I can't believe he took the time to type all that knowing that almost everyone knows what actually went down. I don't know who he's trying to fool but I'll just say that release only hurt his current reputation more and I'll leave it at that.

"almost everyone knows what actually went down."

Big ALMOST.... I don't even know if he quit or was fired

Everybody here is acting like its some big secret. Could somebody please explain what happened to the best of their knowledge?

"Father is always right" doesn't convince me of anything....

There's a lot of personal shit involved that doesn't need to be discussed here. End of story. Not saying anymore than that. I'm not CNN or TMZ.

Anthony did an interview on Flo at Lincoln last night.  He seemed to be well and looked good in the Indy Parts car.  I for one will STOP picking on him.

Was Anthony and Lance on the same 4wheeler coming out for the redraw at Lincoln?

Can't disagree with your support based on your life story.  Go ahead and support Anthony.  He should, and can do whatever he wants.  I support his desire to do his own thing.  However, when I see folks on here implying he should have more say in the racing operations, and be better complensated financially, (because he's more than 1/2 the equation) I couldn't disagree with their logic more.  He was a young man that was an employee of his father, the man paying the bills.

So I reiterate, if he wants to work for his family team, he takes orders from the boss----end of story.  If he doesn't want to take orders, he should go do his own thing.  Period.  Everyone needs to stop saying his dad was "wrong."  His dad can spend his money any way he wants.  It's his money.

Who said that?

I don't recall anyone saying Dad was "wrong" either

Most of us sticking up for Anthony don't know what really happened (since people seem to want it private). We just like the team & watching them win, & wish they could have stayed together, without passing judgement either way.

Won more races than anybody in the country last year, It was fun watching Anthony grow in confidence, from the kind of geeky, awkward kid in his early interviews, to his almost cocky feuding with good ole Dietrich.....

To fans of my generation, kinda like watching The Beatles break up wink

OK

Hard for those of us "not in the know" to pass any judgements, so I'm just gonna keep saying I hope the team reunites....

Not sure about his "pass" yesterday, but Walter's brand new on Saturday night Schnee is junk on Monday and he's done for the year according to my source.

Yes because Lance has started up front in races and 95% of the time has gone backwards.  He certainly is not the answer for this car.
