I'm a long time fan of the WoO as my many posts here show, but I'm getting sick of their BS, fuck them
|
Ah yes----their BS. Paying top dollar. Giving top sprint car teams the best possible scenario at succeding financially touring the country in a sprint car. Filling stands at every venue. Total BS.

They should call it the World of Anything BUT Outlaws. Look up the definition of the word 'outlaw'. Those spineless toadies should be sued for false advertising

From Dictionary.com- Outlaw: a lawless person or habitual criminal. You're right. It doesn't mention sprint cars at all. If the should call it anything BUT Outlaws, perhaps they could call it World of crabby old guys on a racing message board.

If my memory serves me correctly, the original "outlaws" of sprint car racing traveled the country, ran big races, for big purses, against 'local' talent, at tracks they didn't run on a weekly basis----and attempted to take home the purse.
Please explain to me how this tradition has not continued?

By not allowing them to race in the middle of the week if they want and when they want for BIG money. That is moronic!

I believe every driver in the country has the right to race every single WoO race and race every other day of the year if they wish.....................don't they?

Well the outlaws now organize those large purses, and shape the format to give a slight advantage to the drivers they hire to attend. Maybe still a lot of local money leaving with the outlaws, I guess that might not have changed.
Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

Who said they couldn't? They didn't have to sign but they did didn't they? Are you calling the drivers moronic for signing?

Without organization of these events and large purses, there is no way to make travelling the country profitable for these teams. I know, I know---Kyle Larson and Brent Marks. Bad news everyone-----Kyle Larson's 2020 and Brent Marks' 2022 season were anomalies. Without organization, tow money and points money, most of these organizations would operate in the red----even with the big name on the hauler. What about the drivers that weren't Brent Marks in 2022?
Good news though----if anyone wants to try it, no one is holding a gun to their heads and forcing them to sign the exclusive deal---load the car up and hit the big money shows!! They can run like a true Outlaw since some seem obsessed with that. Also, advantage to the drivers they hire to attend? Do they get to choose their qualifying spot or draw a pill like everyone else? I'm confused on the advantage part. The only advantage in the Outlaw format is to be fast when you unload the car---which should be the point at every race around the world.

You think there is any chance that any of the platinum drivers will sign this year considering how badly they are treated?

Will they be penalized....yes. So your argument doesn't hold up.

It's an incentive contract that they do not have to sign they can run all the races they want minus the INCENTIVES no penalty.
