A) So called "Right to work" laws are about unions (supressing them). WoO isn't a union, its a business. Totally irrelevant

B) Why would Knoxville want to go against WoO anyway? Aren't they interested in safety  too?

So Rev you are correct but in Iowa it also sides with people considered private contractors, in the case that it's an open competition and not working directly for a business providing a service (it was a pretty vague deal, but still how the lawsuit came out in Iowa). Wolfgang won that lawsuit and was allowed to run ALL WoO races in the State of Iowa even with a Lifetime ban still in effect (which was lifted) because he had a right to work. Now since then i am sure WoO have put in things to their Platinum agreements that they must adhere to said rules or face fines, or suspension that allows them to enforce these things. At the time I don't believe they had anything in any of their driver agreements that protected the WoO when it came to those types of things. Laws can be interpreted in many ways especially when you are talking about something like this.

It only took the official a few seconds and one quick glance, because he knew HUFFY doesn't make a sprint car frame.

More flex in the chassis can equal better handling

Thanks.

Non-wing frames have thin bottom tubes, it does flex and it helps with forward bite.  Thin bottom tubes are not a weight thing, it's a traction thing.  WoO has rules that outlaw (!) thinner bottom frame rails.

Thanks for the info.

No one ever accused Reutzel of being particularly smart. We're talking about the guy who threw a bike at Wayne Johnson who could easily whoop his ass without breaking a sweat. There aren't too many people out there feeling much sympathy for him and rightfully so. His shit attitude & blatantly dirty driving hasn't netted him many friends. Sometimes you reap what you sow and in this case, that's exactly what's happening. It's a known thing that WoO tech has regularly given "warnings" for tech violations. Doped tires, big motors and tubing thickness have all been issues with other teams (there's a post on this thread already which goes into more detail and is spot on) and hell even though virtually no one can stand him, he was even granted a pass not once but twice and he STILL tried it. He apparently thinks everyone is as stupid as he is. Unfortunately for him, he was wrong and now he has to deal with the consequences of not only this incident but the many incidents before which gave him the horrible reputation that he already had before all of this blew up. He only has himself to blame.

Don't forget about the class act he pulled up at a track in the Northwest where he dumped his septic tank in the pits while driving out.

I forget what race it was recently I was watching where Reutzel had to pull into the work area and literally no one came over to help from any of the other teams to help work on the car.  Eventually Sides came over and chipped in.  I think that tells everything you need to know about how much respect the 83 team is getting from their peers at this point,

OK, but what about "B"? Why would Knoxville want to go against WoO decision? Not like they're gonna be hurting for car count...

We will see but my guess is you will see Aaron in the 87 car at 360 and 410 Nationals .Too good of driver and a lot of money this month and it isnt a popularity contest.ROY is out with point deductions and will give the #9 the lead.I know WOO imposed 30 day suspension.I agree a rule was broken but its a safety issue and is for drivers personal safety. I remember Richard Pettys 200th win that still stands today.

Not sure one way or the other about that. What this all boils down to though as others have said is safety. We forget that not too long ago we lost two terrific sprint car drivers. These racecars command respect or they will hurt you. Any attempt to circumvent a safety rule regardless of the benefit should be dealt with most harshly.

This chassis was a personal chassis of Aaron.  He brought with him to the  83 car.  Roth was not aware of it, but Aaron and crew knew full well what they did.  They painted the chassis with magnetic paint to make it thicker and seem legit. Then took a sticker off another approved chassis and put on this one.  This isnt the first time he has been caught.   Sucks but he knew what he was doing and what was going to happen.

what is stupid is that A.R. was doing quite well in a legal car.  Roth does not mess around,  he will probably fire the whole team.  What did AR expect, he has been caught twice before.  AR is a good driver in a good ride and to waste in some sleezy deal is crazy.

Well, they know he won Ransomville in the illeagal car so who's to say he didn't win East Bay, Williams Grove & Husets in the illeagal car as well? If you take those wins away his finishes weren't great with quite a few DNFs & visits to the work area

Anyone else notice where it says termination?

Maybe I've missed it somewhere but has there yet to be an announcement as to who was terminated?

That's no surprise. Literally no one can stand him. Put Pittman back in the 83 or Joey or Paul or virtually anyone else and you'll see a totally different reaction from the other teams. The guy is an asshole on the track and off the track and he earned every penny of the reputation he has and that's even before you can label him as a cheater. You reap what you sow in this life.

He really must have liked that cheater chassis to put it to use as he did.

He gets free ones from XXX to use, so why use the fugazi one ?
