Went back through some old stuff David sent last year
Found some more Taft footage, and murky footage of and old cageless sprint car race. Working on what I can for now. Got quite a bit of stuff coming this winter.

Dont be shocked if you see a race track at a baseball stadium in Tulsa. That was talked about and I think it was rejected at first but I dont think it is dead.

Good stuff, Brian! Thanks for posting! Had to have your stuff together lining up with Larry Allen BITD. I remember that trophy dash well, I think we both had the checkers or wreckers attititude.

What is really neat is listening to the late Jack Claxton and his announcing. That is why I love the majority of my tapes from the 80's.
Can't wait until you post the famed NCRA/USAC race.

The drivers list for both days on the features is loaded with Hall Of Famers. Off the top of my head, there are at least 10+ NSCHOF material drivers in the second night for sure.
The video will consist of several parts on the races themselves, with breaks in the appropriate places,ANNNNDDDD- I am working on a drivers video leading into the second nights feature. A vid that includes pics and clips of those drivers--so todays public will know they didn't just throw a band of monkies out there.
Friday I will begin to get this all together, and really try to get it complete this weekend. It's a big deal , and should be treated as such.
By the way - JACK CLAXTON NEVER GETS EDITED AROUND HERE. It's in the rulebook.

Watching the last two clips bought back the excitement I had as a kid going to the races. There are few places now that have that same feel.
"The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands
in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he
stands at times of challenge and controversy."
Martin Luther King, Jr.
