Bad analogy: I can choose to buy either chocolate of vanilla ice cream, and as much as I want. Sprint car racing is totally different. There are a finite number of drivers who can drive sprint cars in any one region/state, and having different sanctioning bodies racing different specs (sometimes at the same time) only dilutes the talent pool.
At the end of the day, I want to see good racing, and it doesn't matter too much if it's winged, non-winged, 360s or 410s. The reality is that few drivers can afford 410 and 360 motors, and have to make a choice. We all know which one is more economical, which is especially important now.
Again, my point is this: what is so important about 410s that there "must" be a series devoted to them in California (as I've heard several fans say in the past)?
