Sorry airflow but Greg does have some good points,as a matter of fact that whole post was correct. He did leave at least one class w/wings so you dont need to sell off your equipment. It would be good to see midget racing in OKC.

One of the very best & most entertaining A's on the half mile was probably 85' or 86'. Leep was driving the missle & Danny Shouse was in the yellow Corvette center car. Seems that for about 15 laps they were side by side all the way around & it wasn't done until the checkers. Yeah the Bishop car had independent rear suspension, it was a hand-ful! Jackie Howerton even came down & drove it one night. That guy was good in every-thing but the car broke on him. Good stuff!!

Excuse an old fart here....it was Buddy Cagle who tried out the Bishop car. Handed it over to Larry Don Allen when it scared him too badly, and the inevitable happened. That car went into a dumpster, but not before Sammy Swindell spent a long time studying it and asking the Bishops questions. What he came up with worked well enough to get banned. As for the ASCS midgets, it will be most interesting. The SMRS has built up a pretty solid group, but most are from Missouri. Oklahoma promoters are really leery about the midgets, but with Emmett's pull, he can probably sign a few shows. The SMRS show in Enid might say a lot about the future of that plan as far as Oklahoma goes.

Galen I was thinking the same thing about the midgets. The SMRS is a good series and can bring some cars but it is not Emmett. He does have good track record of getting a series going.
