Nice announcement for $250,000 to win next year. Where does Tod get that kind of money? Cost him $60,000 to run the B main tonight.

Nice of Knoxville to not schedule races this weekend to allow the regulars to go to Husets.

I wonder how many more cars would have attended if PA speedweek and the race in California ?????  were not this same weekend?

Well I guess the Saturday feature proved you wrong!

Format was very similar to Knoxville Nationals, lesser teams can win the Prelim nites, but the cream rises to the top....

$250k to win next year, 4 day show.

That 250k to win next year is def an attention getter.  Already making plans to be there for that.  Awesome track and racing.  Looking forward to it.  Great news Todd.

A lot of things that people consider part of Sprint Car racing today came about through the Outlaws.  Fastest starting in front with little to no inverting, the work area, open and closed reds come to mind.  I don't ever remember stopping Features to fix cars in the 60's.  They were Sprint Car races, if a driver wrecked or got a flat they pulled off and we're done for the night.  The Outlaws make the argument that they tear up equipment when they have to pass local cars.  Meanwhile some of the local guys are done for the weekend if they blow up or wreck.  The economic disparity takes a lot of the fun out of the original concept of the WoO.  Come to town and beat the locals using 10x the budget to do it takes a lot of that out of it.  Today's Outlaws are more like the Navy Blue Angels that put on an exhibition of speed than what I think of as the Sprint Car racing that attracted me to the sport as a kid.

Drivers learned by helping out at the neighborhood repair shop.  They talked their way into rides after starting out by cutting up and welding up old coupes and racing them.  Someone who owned a Sprinter would see them and give them a shot.  Today we've got karts and Micros as a feeder system and 13-15 year olds causing an uproar when insurance makes them wait until theyre 16.  It's a different racing world and I think that is one of the reasons I like Husets.  One veteran driver put it this way "Knoxville will make you a hero, Husets will make you a race car driver".

Very well said Stan.  That is perfect.

I dont know exactly when tickets for the 2023 event went on sale. But I got online 3 minutes after they announced the ticket sale on the portal was open.  The seats I was in last night in section DDD were already sold and there was only 119 left available in that section.   If your planning on going.  ..

Well Knoxville is off that weekend so I'd expect a decent showing but will be limited to upper 30s to low 40s because outside of the WoO only 5-6 others have a real chance at making any respectable money and the locals who show every week will show. Outside that who travels that far to get their ass kicked?

On a side note, pissed about Knoxville not making nascar weekend that weekend or Husets not making this show nascar weekend. Two weeks off is a joke. Some said it before that Knoxville will become the next Eldora once they let NASCAR in the door and will just be a special only track.

Outlaws weekend

Cornbelf Nationals ( if it comes back )

Nascar Trucks

360 Nationals

410 Nationals

Late Model Nationals

Whats next? More monster jam and concerts? I just want local weekly sprints plus Iowa speed week with the one and only true Nationals. That's it. I seem to lose another regular week each year and simply won't pay 40 bucks plus per person to see something I'm less interested in.

Knoxville exisits for the weekly racers, won't be a specials only track although specilas do underwrite the weekly shows at times.  Liten to John's past interviews.
