Well I think the WoO officials need to get on track actions under control. Reutzel getting out of his car after he runs into the guy is bullshit. He should have been told, you got out of your car, 3 race suspension.

I am not a fan of things like boxing, wrestling and MMA. I don't watch it and have zero interest but I am a Sprint Car fan going back to 1960. I was probably about ten years old at the races in the early 60's when I saw my first fist fight at the races. Two groups of fans got in a fight and they knocked one guy out who ended up laying on the ground practically within arms length. We got up and moved to another spot.
The thing that isnt being discussed is that they delayed the start of the broadcast at I-70. I think it would be a fitting punishment to fine both drivers and sit them out for a couple races. This was I-70's grand reopening and it will forever have an asterisk with the names Johnson and Ruetzel attached to it. For me it's all about the racing and not the fights and drama.

I wouldn't be embarrassed for having the ability to race against the best of the best for two years. I would be proud that I was able to do so. On the other hand, I definitely would be embarrassed if I exhibited the fighting skills of a little girl. My friends wouldn't let me live that one down for years, if ever. Now that would be embarrassing.

Exactly. I wouldn't be embarrassed for only getting 2 top tens in 2 years, but I'd surely be embarrassed for fighting like a girl.

I have been debating whether Johnson is the new Schatz or the new Larson. Those other guys used to dominate this forum but now Johnson is that guy.
Has he made a new podcast since the tussle? Would be interesting to hear his story.

If I want to watch boxing and wrestling I would turn that on instead of racing. In today's world with this sport costing so much sponsors don't want their reputation attached to guys who can't control their tongue in an interview. Strength is being able to keep a cool head and talk those kinds of disputes through in private instead of delaying the start time during the first night of racing at a beautiful revamped facility.
Personally I don't have a lot of respect for anyone doing that kind of school yard shit in 2021 while racing under the most professional sanction in all of Sprint Car racing. So driver A is a better fighter than driver B, who gives a damn if it costs the team sponsors, possibly fines and a loss of focus on the task at hand.
