After his time away from the family car my guess is he is seeing the huge mistake he made. He'll be back in the seat of the 39m over the winter months

I am sure Lance will win eventually but seems no one notices one of the hottest cars in the country is 0 for about 20 now with other drivers.

I sincerely hope he gets his head out of his ass, makes things right with his family and grows up. We all discuss the racing aspect of it but the truly sad part is, a father and son relationship has taken a gigantic hit. Life is short and you only get one dad. Hopefully he realizes that and they bury the hatchet whether or not they go racing together again. But from a purely racing standpoint, hopefully this opens his eyes and he can get his career back on track.

I completely agree with the last 3 posts

Pretty tragic

I don't know whose fault it is, but I REALLY hope they can work it out...

Poof! ......Gone, just like that....... Silence.

Definitely the most amazing thing I've seen in 40 years.
The only recent "news" I've seen is the Tee Shirt Sprinter for sale on Facebook Market Place

Was Joe Mooney wrenching for Lance Saturday night at Lincoln ?

Jacob now Anthony.  Both have their reasons.

Here's the thing.....and it's a delicate subject as it's hard to speak out regarding mental health and one's being. I have no doubt about the things Anthony wrote as being somewhat true. Yes, this sport and schedules drain you. It's certainly not hard to believe one could and and would feel burnt out.

What I will say though is this doesn't seem to add up when it comes to how things have filled out. So you quit your family team due to burn out, only to take a ride with a traveling series and take another in another traveling series that essentially followed the same schedule for two months? seems to add up? You also did an interview the day it was announced with Jeremy Elliott saying you left over personal differences and such within the team, would be searching for other opportunities and didn't think the family team hold be an option going forward? Seems to add up?

I always will applaud one for speaking up about mental health, taking time for themselves and more. But (and while I could be wrong here) when you do it on the back of someone else's struggle (Jacob) after publicly stating there were other reasons and continuing to race regularly if not more....it's damn near disrespectful to those actually fighting issues when you use that as a crutch to try and explain how things have gone down.

again....I mean zero disrespect and understand the severity of burnout and mental health. It affects many of us. But this deal just doesn't add up and either way it feels like there was some lying/missteps happening and now we're trying to use a serious topic with current relevance to explain it all for our benefit. Just thoughts ....

So, take a break Tony Macaroni... Get yourself a CDL and drive a mixer to job sites and help spread it... I'm sure your family has trowels with your name on it...

Well, I get up at seven, yeah, and I go to work at nine...

I got no time for livin' Yes, I'm working all the time...

It seems to me, I could live my life a lot better then I think I am...

I guess that's why they call me, they call me the working man...

Yeah, that's the first problem with the Jacob + Anthony math- there are no common denominators.

Agree.  What a giant pile of bull$hit.  You "leave" your family ride one week before Nats, the family puts another driver in, you're too burned out to travel, but you travel to Knoxville anyways and jump in a different ride?  Does he think we're all idiots?

While his explanation doesn't seem to add up on the surface, maybe in reality it does.  It seems to be common knowledge there was some disagreements within the team/family that led to the breakup.  It's entirely possible that pressure and fatigue played a big part in those disagreements blowing up like they did.  When you get to a point it's easy for little things to turn into bigger things.  I'm guessing Anthony has finally realized, possibly with some assistance, how things were going and what was playing a part.  Maybe he really does just need to slow down and reset.

Racing at the level a lot of these guys do is no walk in the park.  Several of them have commented on it recently.  It may not look like it to us from the outside but there really is a lot of pressure when it's your job, not just your hobby.  Yes I know there's pressure in a lot of jobs.  But most don't require putting yourself and others at the brink of disaster and personal harm to be good at it.  When you get to a point where you're not 100% focused and confident in what you're doing there's no shame in taking a break to allow yourself to relax and recharge.  One might even find that it's just not worth it to yourself and family to continue down that road.   Whatever becomes of Anthony's journey I hope it turns out how he really wants it to.  He was one of the most exciting guys to watch drive one of these beasts for awhile and that can never be taken away.  For our sake I hope he comes back as stong as ever.  For his own sake I hope he figures out what makes him happy and gives it 100%.

You are correct.  Burn't out already at age 20 something!!!  Get real.  Just a spoiled brat that has always had everything given to him.  Glad to see Nick put the hammer down.  Only thing I see currently with Nick is placing LD in the car.

First words on rebuilding the relationship with the people that write the checks. He is seeing what a wrong turn has done. I ride as good as the families 39m just don't come easily.  Being that young and more than anyone will admit,  kids have a habit of putting there foot in there mouths and don't think of the consequences of there words.

Jacob Allen,  it pains me to say this, he wants to do more than be a woo sprint car driver. In my eyes I think there is a possibility he never returns.

Josh Richards, on top of the slm world. Work ethics, driving the top slm out there, a girl and his beliefs. He is no longer interested whatsoever.

Anthony Macri,  ???  still to be determined,  I say he's frustrated and that release is the first words on reconnecting with family.

Agree with all 100%    There are unlimited ways to make a living besides racing.  No one should be put down because they decide it's not for them.

Macri?  His latest post is a little something we call backpedalling.  There may be snippets of truth, but there is no @#$ing way it went down as he lays it out.  He's young yet.  He's got time to get it.  Making up a garbage story is not growing up, but it's a first step I guess.  Maybe next time he's in a similar situation, he'll just be truthful and admit he was wrong...................

On another note, he doesn't owe me, or anyone else an explanation to where he went.  However, he's the one that decided to air it all out.
