So where is the sprint audio tonight? I know the hotlaps are done.

Decisions, decisions. Two hour American Idol special, 3/4 into a great Stephen King book and five guitars over in the corner demanding my attention. I've got plenty reasons to be frustrated already.

Last night as we kicked off our coverage of the sprint car portion of the 2012 UNOH DIRTcar Nationals presented by Summit Racing Equipment, we've experienced issues with our web hosting company. We have been assured that the issue has been taken care of, and we hope to provide a fluid stream for fans this evening and throughout the rest of speed weeks. If you would rather have a refund, send your requests to [email protected] with your user and credit card information. We apologize again for the problems we've experienced these past two days and we thank you all for your patience as we get things back up and running. We purchased all new streaming computer equipment and added additional cameras. Everything tested fine and worked flawlessly but we did not have the server load that we experienced last night. We hope to provide you with the best possible show we can. Thank you again.

i know your words of concern that we get a good product and enthusiasm that you can provide it are well meant. still the fact remains there are problems unsolved. i don't usually have any great problems with your service, out of the normal buffering every now and then and i can usually get the service to work. the thing is, i shouldn't have to play around with my computer to be able to do so. i shouldn't have to restart and refresh and all those other things. i do know that there are times when other people say they are having problems when i am having none. this past couple of days has been different. i could not get the site to load at first. then i could not get the stream to connect. a little persistence took care of those problems. then the stream stopped and froze and i had to refresh several times. then when the sprint main started last night i made it to the first yellow flag when the stream froze and would not refresh. by the time i got it to work, there were just two laps left. if there was not a red flag, there would have been no laps left and the race would have been over.
today the site would not load. then when it did load, the stream was stop and go. then it froze and had to refresh the page. several times of doing this cost me to iss all the sprint heats.
as i am typing this the stream has froze again and will not restart.
i know you have said if we are not happy we can ask for a refund. that is nice, but i really am not looking for my money back. i am just looking for the service i paid for to work. if i wanted the money, i would have never spent it in the first place. it is not worth the effort and grief involved to try to get it back.
i like the fact that there is a service offered that is trying to let us see some of these events live on our computers. i would think that after all the years of trying, some way could be found to make it work.
as i said, you words i know are well meaning, still just making the service work would be better than any words that you could ever speak.

I had video all night tonight with no issues at all (unlike last night) - but I logged on VERY early = around 1:00 this afternoon and let the video window just sit there. Apparently the 'first hogs to the trough get the slop".
Wasn't able to access chat til after the sprint A - but no BIG loss there ... last coupla nites it's only been a buncha mortified fans bitching about the sprints and each other....

after serious issues at first, eventually the system stayed up for me. i would say from a little before the sprint dash until after the sprint main.
it is nice thing worked for you all night. i have noticed in the past years as well if you can get on early, you might have better service. the thing is, we all pay the same amount. your service quality should not be determined by when you log on.
it is possible there could be more people on the system starting tonight with the outlaw sprint program.
most of us are happy there is a way to view the races live, we have been glad dirtvision has been offering video for as many years as it has. i have been one of the patient ones over the years who has put up with inferior service and the struggle just to make the stream work. still at some point it comes down to the fact that the service needs to work, and work for everyone.
i have no idea what it costs to offer the service, or what all it involves, nor do i really care. that is not my concern. my concern is that when i push the button, i get what i signed up for.
now if DV has a problem supplying the amount of people that are signing up, and their system can only handle a certain volume before it gets overloaded, maybe they should only let a certain amount of people sign up. at least maybe then if you were one of the people who signed up before the cut-off, you would know you would be getting something that worked. if you didn't make the cut-off, well then at least you wouldn't feel you got a bunk product, and you could still listen to the audio. as the system was made better and able to handle more people, then more people could be allowed to sign up.
as it is when the system doesn't work, it is almost like buying your ticket and getting to the track and finding there isn't enough room for you inside the track and you have to stand outside and listen. with the exception of not having to drive to the track. lol.

some people do have problems while others do not. there seems to be no rhyme or reason to who it works for and who it doesn't.
the video has been working for me so far tonight, but it is still early and who knows if the load will increase later on. also i was able to log onto the site early today, before the video feed started.
