who do you think is cheating

I don't think its anyone inparticular. Once again my point is I just want some checking to go on. We spend too much time and money on this crap for it not to be fair.

I dont know what races you have been to but ive drove modifieds that would pull both front wheels off the ground on the straights. If thats not hooked up I dont know what is.

Pictures?

i would be willing to say that 90 percent of the sprint cars out there are legal the guys you should watch are the ones that go to the front on a heavy track and nowhere to be found on a dryslick

I really don't think it matters who they check. If one is checked and they are legal then good job, no one has any doubt. But if that person is caught, then they shouldn't have been cheating. Here's is my idea. I think every other week or so they should check the winner, draw one number from the rest of the top 5, and check whomever ended up in that position. That way it would be fair and non biased. That would also create a chance that people would get checked, which would deter them from cheating. Right now there is no deterance, so that leaves me to believe that 90% is a liiiiitle high.

I would be in heaven. But I highly doubt that would happen do to reasons that have been talked about on here before (officials wanting to go home after a long night at the race track.)

Yes there is a picture ! about a inch of tread of the right front tire is left in contact with the track .That engine made 595 corrected HP, lets see 600HP in a 2500LB car 9.8 sec.ET in the 1/4 mile: a fairly serious piece of iron.

Dollar for Dollar and setup the Small Block Chevy has given us more output, at this point it would cost about $2000 to even put a Ford setup in the car. I know none of this has anything to do with the thread but isn't this Forum for what we want to talk about, You know as well as I do that Lanny is the way he is, it may get a little better . At least we still have a race track.Smile

that last little bit is a dangerous way of thinking. that means all the eggs are in 1 basket for the future of SFS. that aint good.

maybe we would have some hope or something - but then we have seen what has happened to lawton. even though its gettin mildly better ------- it just went to a joke awfully fast earlier this year - and it wasnt economy - it was Lanny. when you add up everything Tom - he is not in it for the long run. its really obvious. for a track to survive very bad economic times like what we may encounter --- you have to do things the best you can as a promoter. i mean - would you really still be greatful if at SFS there were 8 cars in each class? I wouldn;t be - because where as the economy hurts ------ the biggest problem there is the way lanny does things. sure there are some decent things - but its virtually its generally 90-10 opinion maybe worse on the direction lanny has the track going. and it aint a good opinion

you keep making excuses for not enforcing any sort of rules ------- and that is entirely inexcusable. its an insult to EVERYONE at the track - pits or stands. to say o well at least we have a track..............thats the kind of thought folks have right before their track takes a plunge. bottom line you either try to do things right ------ or you dont.

Now that was a well thought out comment cheese. Good job.

For anybody, Does lanny attend the ORA meetings? If not, Why? Seems you guys could have a discussion with him about what you think and try to work together to get the track to the stage you want. I too think it's going in a bad direction. I don't participate in the pits or on the track but still actively go to the track as often as possible and hope it could maintain a decent show even through the hard times we have ahead of us.
This economy is a major concern for alot of people and some consideration of it should come to mind as to the future of SFS.

You have not offered one single solution, I did,How many nights have you paid to put a car on that track, and paid for the broken parts and blown engines,I have ,So come on in to the pits and start helping someone with their car instead of ranting about Lanny.

Wait are we talking asphalt or dirt...And if a mod is so hooked up that its pulling "wheelies" (even though a wheel was still on the ground) I'm sure it wasn't exactly driveable.

Lol. Guy's I'm not trying to start anything. I'm not talking bad about your car or motor or anything.
I would only do that with Ford man...But that is not a wheely in that picture. Thats a LF in the air. I was promised a picture of a mod in a full wheely dangit!

At SFS you get into more trouble for racing hard than you do for cheating. Just ask Kevin Becker. That's why he won't be back. Everyone complains but they keep going back. I would rather give my money to a different track that tries to be fair and treats everyone the same.

this is dirt track, You may never really see both front tires off the ground, if the torque does lift the right front off chances are the car is going to snap barrel roll , and yes it takes a pretty good shoe to handle a car like that thur lap traffic.
