Absolutely the craziest thing that's happened in my 40 years of being a fan.
Musta been a BIG fight with the old man.
WOW!

Its really sad
I'm gonna guess the big fight was about $$$?
A million dollars does strange things to some people
I'm bummed....

So what is he supposed to do? Jump in the first car offered without waiting and considering any other offers. Most of the good teams a little busy this week.

For a million $ ? Yes!

Something about the souvenir stand is what I heard, happened after he dominated PA SW and won the 15G race at Port nonetheless. Apparently he and his dad don't get along real well. That's also why the Shuttlesworth's left the team last year. Hope they can patch things up and get back out there. Such a good driver and strong team that was really starting to click on all cylinders.

Thanks for the info
Its really sad for me cause it was a father/ son thing, and for any of us who've had those battles, it hits a nerve. Especially since they were doing so damn well. It was cool watching Anthony grow from a kinda geeky rookie to a major ass kicker on the track. I was hoping they'd be a contender at Eldora
We'll see what happens, I guess....

The remark was about taking two weeks off not just a few days. As far as I know he was only offered one ride for this week and had enough class to not interfere with someone elses chance. Taking a little time to get this right seems like a good idea to me although the timing sucks.

Nothing wrong with taking a couple of weeks off he has made quite alot of cash the last few years so nothing wrong with taking a few weeks off before his next ride which wont have nearly the arsenal that the family operation has.

Take a couple weeks off when the true month of $$$ is starting. I also heard something about the t-shirt sales. Something about his girlfriend wanted a %% of sales.

Dump that chick, the kid has had daddy's bank account put him in some of the best equipment out there. Finding that class of ride is not going to happen. If he's waiting for the weikert 29 or the Hamilton 77 to be dusted off, because the 39 ride is equall to those legendary cars. He's got another thing coming. I wonder if he goes into work on Monday ? I'm assuming he does work for his dad. There's a heck of a lot more to this story. His job was probably in the race shop, hummm, no ride and no job.

So your thought is that money buys everything. As I said in another post, it is not always as easy for an abitious young man to work for his dad as some think. The key word there is ambitious, if they are not it might easier . Many times a dad thinks he needs to be harder on his son than others to build character. It usually builds resentment. The problem is not always one sided. I have been there and we got along much better when not working together. After the dust settles that could happen here also. I am pretty sure the only people who know the whole story are not commenting here.

Bring back Tylar Walker and put him into the 39M, that would shake things up.

His talent will put him right back in the same kind of ride or better. Bernie's equipment is just as good as anyone else's at Eldora. The car was sitting there waiting for him if he wanted.

4 hours til a single reply on a Tyler Walker mention- it's usually 4 pages.
10 years ago, there'd be a lot of truth in that statement. Dam shame. He was a gasser

Who is he and where is he from? I'd much rather see Tanner Thorson in the seat.

Young kid from Washington I think. That would be surprising to pick someone who's never raced in PA. Thorson would be great.

I'm thinkin the next driver of the 39M will be Anthony Macri.
The best car available and the best driver available right now.
