Ricky Hood- You need to hear him tell his story of when he went NASCAR pavement racing...

We may have to take Ricky's word on that. I can't find anything online about him running a NASCAR race.

Cole Trickle

I don't believe he has ever won a WoO feat race.

Jeff Gordon,  AL Unser Jr

I don't believe either has won a WOO feature.

Sometime in the 70's, Al Jr. and Bobby Jr. We're hyped for a race in western S.D. Al didn't show and Bobby was a non-contender.

Didn't Schatz take a ride or two in a truck race?

I do know that he won 2 WOO championship, 3 all star wins and 7 straight feature wins before getting into NASCAR.  Although it was never said that he won a WOO feature race, I would think that if he won 2 championships, he's probably got a few WOO wins?

All I found is that he raced a dirt NASCAR race at Knoxville.

He's speaking of Cole Trickle, not Dick Trickle.

Smile You got me there. I googled Cole Trickle so I understand the reference now. To be honest, the last time I really gave a hoot about anything NASCAR related was back when Bill Elliot was champion. I had a roommate who was into it and a big Elliot fan. The only part I remember clearly was the hillbilly announcer guy who always prounced it Beel, Beel El-Yit!

I know that Dick Trickle provided a lot of cheap laughs for comedians at one time. I knew a guy named Dick Sorum.

You're right. He's actually won 2 WoO features. I was looking at the tail end of the list that showed one win and didn't look further up.

That makes 20.

Spencer Bayston was the last name on my list. Unless you guys come up with some more. that's about 21.

Just yanking your chain a little. I feel the same way if a NASCAR race broke out in my yard I'd close the blinds.
