Make sure that you make it into the parking lot early to get a good spot and in a ticket line early so you're guaranteed to get a seat at Lincoln this year, seeing as how dropping the All-Stars, and weekly streaming will draw thousands more to the track. I'll bet you'll meet fans over travel from All 48 lower States each week because that will be their only option to see the fabulous Lincoln Speedway.

It won't take 100 people to more than make up the flo money. I do think streaming brings people to the bigger shows but it does hurt the weekly shows.

Without getting into a pissing match, it does seem like the track is changing strategy, trying to monetize the shows that have been successful (2 day Icebreaker, and Dirt Classic, another WoO show) while also trying to have the best of both worlds in having streaming for the big shows and not for the weekly shows.

That says to me that the old model hasn't been as successful as it had been.

My connected buddy was told by an All Star official late last summer that there won't be nearly as many All Star races in central PA in 23 ' cuz most of the teams are tired of towing all that way to run fifth, maybe' 

'Most' but not all - Buch 13 / Peck wouldn't be one of the most. It's their home base and they run better than fifth most of the time

You know, I always said I'd never. Buy Flo or dirt vision. But I had a little extra money just before the Chili Bowl. So I thought I'd purchase flo for the year. After watching the Chili Bowl. I made the decision. To cancel it. And get my money back. Every night, I sat in the chair and fell asleep. I just can't watch at Midgets and Sprint cars on TV. I've been going to Sprint car races since I was five years old. I guess back then, it was modified. Evolved in the sprint cars. I'm 66 years old now. And it's not the same. I'll just sit at home if I can't afford to go to the races. Or whatever. Like I say, it's not the same as being in the stands. It's boring it's not interesting. I Sit in the chair and fall asleep. Say what you wanna say about me. It may be for everyone else, but it's not for me. I'll go to as many races as I can in person. At my local racetrack. And hopefully be able to travel a little bit. But the TV deal. Well, that'll just have to be for somebody else. And I still say it's gonna be the death of dirt track racing. Unless these promoters get smart. And make a hell of a lot more money from it than they are now.     Glen Murra

I just renewed Flo for $120.  20% off price. But i do go to the track every week. I like watching other races at other tracks afterwards.

My math comes out to about 60 people per night for a regular show , and i personally can name about that many people that do it.

They add about 5-6 good cars, more national exposure and interest and Lincoln was always packed when they had them. It's still a lot better than just the same local cars we see every week for "big" shows. Making the ice breaker 2 days and only paying 5G to win both days also doesn't make much sense to me. If you're hoping to draw more cars in, then PAY them!

Well you're not correct about Port receiving $100/event.

When the tracks sign their contracts with Flo, there are multiple options in regards to payment. The most consistant and normal way of payment comes in regards to a lump sum at the beginning of the deal.

This not only allows tracks to perform offseason upgrades and work, but protects the track in regards to a bad season where weather takes priority and rain out/cancellations become prevelent.

This is also why during Covid, despite fans wants and claims, it was not feasible to race weekly via PPV without fans in the seats. The tracks had already received their money for streaming. Running with no fans or less fans would essentially be a death sentence as they wouldn't be getting any extra revenue from the race itself.

This also led to many of the tracks renegotiating their contracts after Covid. Which most in Central, PA did.

There is also an option to receive money based on weekly performance and that would be a race by race paycheck.....which would never be only $100. 

Also...these deals do not include the visits of sanctions such as the All Stars, as those races are already covered under the All Stars deal with the service and therefore do not apply to the tracks bottom line and payment.

If you pay attention, you'll see in many cases when tracks are advertiding for these events, they won't mention or push streaming as they are not receiving much if anything from those events. The regular events is where your contract comes into play. So say Port has a 40 race schedule...eliminate those events already booked for streaming already under their sanctioning body (ASCoC, Lucas Oil, STSS) and you now haver a different look at it as well.

There certainly is potential to receive more. And in many cases tracks could and should. But there is a difference in lost income and potential lost income. Potential lost income really is irrlevent when you consider the business plan included streaming to begin with in recent years. So yea....may you could have made more. But you didn't lose what you never accounted for either.

Seems there are two things truly classified in this country.  Who Epstein was friends with and what Flo gives tracks.

I agree that live is MUCH better, but I still get Flo & DV.... better than nothing

I haven't been able to get to many races since I started taking care of my 100 yr. old Mom, & Pa. is a 4 hr. drive. Only saw 3 races live last summer (Upstate NY is only 2 hrs. but the racing is pretty dull)

If you wait awhile & time it right, you can fast forward over the boring parts on PPV.....

To be fair, that's really nobody's business other than the Flo and the race tracks. It's like none of us on here know what you get paid.

Genius Gobrecht and his parade of 100 clown ("Legends" cars are a real reason why people stopped going to Lincoln. 

They only have the legends a few times a year.  They have had decent crowds most nights.

Hahah yeah they are racing weather for next week has been bouncing all over the place so their 75 degree day they are advertising could be wishful thinking after a 40 degree day and maybe a half inch of rain!
