Hiroshimacarp, If that is true then what the hell is wrong with these people?. As diehard sprint car fans, it is a honor that we get to see Yung Money race on dirt tracks during his free time and that he is so assessable to fans afterward. He could be home in North Carolina relaxing with his family. Personally I could watch him race every night of the week. He has been fast all three nights and has made the redraw. The fact is choses to run Pa Speedweek every year and other shows in Central Pa is not taken for granted by me.Hopefully it was just a bunch of drunken clowns (Probably the same ones giving Macri a hard time in Victory lane). Most of the fans that I have seen where he races are big fans of his as evidenced by the amount wearing his T shirts in the stands.

I'll pick Dewease for tonight at Hagerstown.

it was just a couple. then again we wait until the end and didn't stand in line long. some other guy wanted his wing panel signed a different way. it's worth bringing up in case some of those drunken clowns are on here and the rest of us are alert to tell them to show respect.
i'm lucky enough to have a lot of his last 2 years documented with photos i took. i get them signed and they're in a folder my son will have when he grows up. we've been spoiled to have a front row seat to all of this.
by the way...this makes it all the more impressive what brent marks has done this week. he beat him head to head three times this week.

Exactly!
Larson T-shirts were easily the most common ones at the 2 races I went to.... surprising, not nearly as much "us vs. them" sentiment as when the Outlaws come to town

3 older men for Australia are showing up every night this week and giving it their best. Talked to them last night at Hagerstown. Super nice gentlemen!

Great race last night. Marks hugging the inside rail and Dietrich using the Haud line.
Selinsgrove - Thank you for the cushion to let the drivers lean against something other than the fence.

He said personal reasons on his twitter page. Someone at the track told me his dad parked him. Disappointing that Selinsgrove didn't have a full field but the racing more than made up for it. Fantastic race for the win between DD and Marks and through the top 10. Shout out to Mike Walter coming on at the end, challenging Peck for 3rd. It's amazing how much better the racing is on the big half mile when it gets wide and slick and the cushion is up where it should be. Nice job Selinsgrove!

Saw a thread a while back about 19 second feature laps. Maybe it was on Twitter or Facebook or some such thing.

The drivers could get a grip on the track all night long. That is all you can ask for. No slip and slide there. The drivers didn't have to tip toe around the corners all night long either!
Speed week notes. Highest car counts.
Lincoln 47 and 43
Winner starting farthest back in the feature.
Lincoln 13th.
Congrats Brent Marks on your speed week championship well deserved!

Which is exactly what you want for the feature, wide and racey. No high speed freight train around a huge curb only half way up the track.

The drivers were getting good grip on the track you can tell. DD didn't let it breath for many laps. He also was over heating in victory lane! Marks way low and DD running the Haud line. That is sprint car racing. Not a slip and slide!
DD doesn't win that race if there wasn't a cushion. He leaned on it really hard in the second half of the race. I love cushion racing!!
Cushion racing is so much better than bagging your right rear off the wall. We know the wall doesn't give!

i was listening to the 4 wide salute podcast today and they had some good info about macri. they said somebody was grinding his tires during the open red on saturday night. the tire blew out not long after that. any idea what advantage or disadvantage that might have caused and whether it makes the tire more likely to fail? they said you can't change tires which they didn't do.
they also noticed all the fuel running out of the car when he got to the pits. nothing was coming out on the racetrack. any idea what might have caused that to happen? the overhead shots on flo showed it. i didn't think much about it but it's odd that the fuel wasn't leaking on the track. very lucky too because that could have gotten really dangerous.
it adds to speculation for me about not showing up sunday. was he mad at somebody on the crew for grinding the tire? was something on that part of the car that shouldn't have been which caused the fuel leak? they tend to race everywhere so they're not the type of team that just takes a night off.

Jim shutlesworth is now with a new team with Devon Bordan as the driver. That is probably why Macri didn't finish out speed week.

Straw it's going to be very interesting to see how macri performs without schutlesworth turning the wrenches.
