So you don't think more eyes on the sport is good for it? You don't think sponsors will be willing to spend more if they know more eyes are watching? You don't think increased attendance at tracks and viewers online help track promoters pay more, or at least maintain and stay in business? I see it the opposite. The more revenue and funding that becomes available the more tracks can pay and the more racers can get from sponsors. I don't see how that's a bad thing for the long term well being of the sport.

I think its awsome a nascar guy loves DIRT racing so much that he wins a MILLION bucks one day and shows up in Ohio the next day in a sprint for 6k to win. Ps For those that says 69k only cherry picks, HAHa. Most of the time he races when Woo in town, all stars or speedwk when alot of good drivers here. So those drivers cheeries? HAHA

Yes that is cherry picking for the 69K.  They don't race when it is a handicap show and usually not a time trial show so they don't have to start about mid pack like most all of the locals do.

Started 7th last night an won in the sprints.  Larson is one driver that would put me int a seat at a racetrack.  Don't get me wrong I enjoy watching others race too, however, Larson never gives up and keeps digging for more the whole race long!  As Jeff Gordon put it - how can such a nice guy turn into such a bear behind the wheel of a racecar?  He is so fun to watch!  I enjoy each and every time I get to see him drive a racecar.

100% agree.

I started this post on track conditions and it turned into why Larsen and Bell are racing and cherry picking so I will add my two sense and say racers race for a living so they should be able to race whatever they choose to race in be it asphalt or dirt

And as usual, ying and yang, dumb and dumber, pathetic and useless also had to get in his daily comment about Port Royal as well. Man it must suck do be that guy.

He will be racing near you tonight if it doesn't rain. Be there!

Well I am going so I hope it does rain some earlier in the day.  I am going because I am going to everyone this week.  I wouldn't be afraid to bet, the track a Port will be terrible.  If it doesn't rain some, they will never put enough water to the track to make it decent.  My ratings in order so far for track prep and racing this Speedweek are:

Lincoln:  Saturday night.

Lincoln:  Monday night.

Grandview: Tuesday night,

WG:  Friday night.  Even with who won the race. YUK!

Baps:  Sunday night.  Started out ok but then became a real dust bowl.

Port Royal:  Wednesday night ????????

100% agree.

It would be kind of odd if you didn't agree with Strawser, since you're the same person.

To the comment about the 69k cherry picking. You have to remember Davey Brown is no spring chicken. The rest of that team are not young guys either . Week in and week out is a grind for thse guys. They also are not the financed team out there. I'm sure if you guys wanna throw a bunch of money and a ton of parts at them for the season they will gladly take it.. You can also put in the hours so they can just show up on race night and run. That team started knowing they were not gonna run every week so just sit back and enjoy it while you can.

Since you're so big into truth, Larson started 5th last night, not 7th.

For those that say the 69k "cherry picks"... (sigh) you have your head so far up your ass, you could wear your colon as a necklace.

Carry on with the poo slingin' fellas.

My bad he did start 5th.  Still one of the most exciting sprint drivers around!  If not the most exciting!

Yea well getting tired of that same old song and dance excuse about their ages and finances.  Guaranteed they have more motors and parts than many of the other locals, such as Wagner, Flick, Halligan, Krimes and the lists goes on and on.

Yeah they mostly come out for big paying shows that usually have stout fields. I guess that is cherry picking thees days. I'd like to see them race Port weekly so Lance could get that record too. Then you'd really hear the haters when LD takes the all-time record from Kauffman. PS. They may have topnotch equipment and about a century of racing experience between the 3, but that team is lower budget than most of the other top teams in central PA.

I'll agree with you on that. I love watching Larson and I think it's a good thing for the sport that he still races on dirt whenever he can. Keep in mind, he drives for Paul Silva so it's not like he's just outspending everyone with his nascar money. He's doing it with amazing talent plus a great owner/crew chief. Having said that, I do root for him to get beat when he comes to central PA. I guess it's that old "Posse vs. the world" mentality that was born into me. LOL

A) "Cherry picking" usually means going for the EASIEST wins. 69K goes for the Big $, MOST COMPETITIVE races

B) 69K team doesn't need any "excuses". They race when they want... free country, right? Quality over quantity

C) Larson is out of this world good. Its fun to watch excellence!

D) In defense of "Rod the Canadian Mod", he never said Larson "should" donate his $$$, he said he'd "like it". So would I. But its up to him.... wouldn't you like to see mega rich helping out other folks? (Not that Larson is "mega rich".... he's
"middle class" to multi billionaires)

E) Don't forget that Kyle is RISKING HIS LIFE for our entertainment & $$$ that he doesn't really need. That means he loves the sport, & makes me want to watch him even more...

F) I would have been howling with laughter & joy if Dietrich had beat him last nite! wink

I hate to tell you but wins 100 and 101 at William's grove were both regular shows where the 69k was handicapped to the back of his heat races and drove to the front.  So much for that dumb theory.

Grandview follows up Lincoln with another great race. I for 1 thought that Marks would still win after the late caution, but Yung Muny had a different view. He pulled the wing back & got by on Mark's slip up in the water.

The races at Lincoln both nights were excellent as was the track.

The cherry picken theory is irrelevant when you have a heat line up as such.

Heat 3 Lincoln had Kofoid, Larson,Freddie, Peck, Marks, Macri, Hafertepe & 3 other cars.  That's a mini feature on any track!

People just be thankful that you have the opportunity to watch Bell & Larson perform for us. Central Pa has not had it this good since the Opp & Weld days.
