If you saw "skewed rules", you obviously need glasses.

Johnny...how many hours would you need to tweak your operation to move to the infield for the A Main when you had your rig in operation from the press box all year long?
how many tracks have had this sprung on them durng a drivers meeting this season?
and what has fiddling around in the work area:done to benefit the fan experience thus far?

sorry the edit button doesn't work right anymore...I am just wondering from a $30 per seat fan perspective...when we pay less to get in, are we being screwed out of entertainment value of a few fellas fumbling around in the dark...when the hauler has too the tools, tired and lighting they need to do the job they were hired to do.

You don't spring something like that on any team in the fucking drivers' meeting. You have got to give notice particularly when money is involved. That's just wrong.

Moving the work area to the infield when the teams are pitted outside the track seems non-sensical to me.

Haha, I am about as far from a Posse fan as anyone (outside of our old friend MSPN), but money earned is a good indicator of which group did better. For example, if Pittman was the only Outlaw in the top 10, would you say that was a good night for the WoO? It was a solid night for both groups, just pointing that out.

I think an even better gage would be who passed the most cars. Montieth 15th to 2nd, Dietrich 17th to 5th, Marks 13th to 7th and Haas 26th to 9th. To me passing 13 good cars and finishing 2nd is more impressive than starting on the pole and holding on. I'd say that even if it was a posse guy that started on the pole and held off a hard charging outlaw. The ones that are passing people are the ones putting on the show.

Again, this was done after getting numerous fan requests. We actually do it at MOST tracks where the pits aren't in the infield. (It was done at Lernerville Tuesday, and to the best of my knowledge, nobody missed out on getting their parts to the work area). We've been doing this for at least three years now. The only reason it wasn't done in May was due to rushing the show to beat the weather. (We didn't do the dash draw on the frontstretch in May either.) As far as the teams are concerned, for the vast majority of them, it doesn't matter where the work area is, because they have to bring their equipment to the work area regardless as to whether it's in the pits or in the infield. (The work area in the heats was just outside of turn 2, NOT in front of the teams' individual trailers.)

Just thinking out loud, maybe Rico headed back Knoxville way to get some laps, sort of like Sammy has done. Just my guess.

Perhaps...Nationals aren't until Aug 6th. He could have run Lincoln/Grove this weekend and still had 2 weeks in Knoxville. Just sayin.....Only 2 hrs away, would have been nice to see him make the trip.

A win is more important, and I'd bet Montieth would agree. He wins the dash from the pole like he should have and maybe it's a different story. He didn't, PA racing doesn't need to defend itself from the MSPNs of the world, lol. Eventually Pittman won't qualify 16th and start on the pole of everything will even out. I don't remember anyone caring when he was wheeling the #27.

At the end of the day, it's safe to say, some of the best weekly racing action can be found @ The Fabulous Lincoln Speedway...
Even I can see that with my rose colored glasses...
Opinions may vary...

I don't disagree about the weekly competition at Lincoln.

The issue with the Grasso situation is totally the fault of the driver and his crew. Everytime before the A main we double check where the work area will be and make sure we are prepared. Did the crew not see all the other teams heading to the infield? Feel bad for Grasso as he did have a great run going.
And yes the drivers meeting is the place to communicate these items and the Woo do a great job going over the program and even use a microphone so everyone can hear.
Bet they check where the work area is next time!

They knew where the work area was! They didnt have a 4-wheeler or mule so the crew wasnt in the infield. (This came from JJ)

Was this relayed to the teams prior to the event? If not then you are wrong........

Just to clarify--even when the whork area isn't in the infield, it's NEVER at the team's hauler. It's a designtated area in the pits where the repairs can be observed by World of Outlaws officials. (This way the same official can observe multiple cars in the work area at once.

Out of curiousity, was it the fans in the infield the ones who voted to have their view of 1 & 2 skewed by a paddock full of donkeys...? :/

Well then they were lazy as I have rolled plenty of tires and drug a Jack to the infield to be prepared in case the car comes to the work area. Nothing in the rule book that says you have to have a mule or 4 wheeler.

i get it..sprint car racing is now catering to fans who like to watch pit stops.
What happens when fans send emails that the work area sucks...Do they get ignored?

Did you see him at Lernerville? I don't blame him for turning around.

The work area and the 2 minutes really detract from the racing action. Perhaps if the woo really want fan input, ask if they actually want a work area.. My vote.. Get rid of it.. I have seen nights where it can create cautions that take a total time that is longer than the actual racing action. I don't go to watch Sprints to watch pit stops. They add no entertainment value.
