I just wanted to update, if you sent me your address and haven't received the magazine yet, I have a whole stack going out tomorrow. I had an emergency last week that had me going back and forth to Iowa State University with my retired rodeo horse and after 15 years together, she was laid to rest last Friday. So, I've not been home with the right state of mind to be going to the post office and other places. I apologize, but didn't want anyone to feel like I dipped out on them!

Ashley, so sorry for your loss. Although most of us have never owned a horse, many have lost a beloved pet and can understand.

I still get Speedway Illustrated and Dirt Empire, though Speedway Illustrated had just one fairly long sprint car article, Tyler C., I think, and some good mod articles and others but S.C. & M.//and the other side of that magazine (forget its name) was actually giving you two magazines in one---sort of. Flo Racing: I thought Flo Racing was races on video? What is the cost, and any more info on it that would help me make a decision to buy it. I liked the one line in S.C. & M explanation: we are helping save the environment. Pretty gutsy to put that in as one of the reasons.

My reference to Floracing was in regard to their video interviews. Same with YouTube where there are driver vlogs, shows like Winged Nation, race hilites from tracks and series and tons more content. Print media is being overtaken by electronic media, much of it free. For example, why read an article about a driver when I can watch that same driver's video blog? it's so much more current than print articles which are often two month old news. I wrote a few articles for Flat Out and got many photos in there hence the reason I still have a collection of them gathering dust. Basically I hang on to copies with my pics and writing in case I feel like trying to impress the grandkids and show them what magazines were like.
