No, I said a slip and slide is not sprintcar racing.  If the track is hard, black and dry before the heats or part way through the heats it is not sprintcar racing.   That is a FACT!

but if it's tacky or just dry and on the bottum and only one car out of the top 10 finishes top 10 or 0 cars in 2 traveling series events cracks the top 5 from farther back than 6th starting spot THAT'S racing?   You have no clue what racing is, FACT.

You are way out in left field with this comment.

You are wrong! I have been to a lot of race tracks since 1983 and I have to tell you Port over the past few years is the worst prepared track.  You are the clueless one...and that is a fact!!!

I get it, some of us are fans of racing series and certain drivers, you are a fan of certain tracks, or should I say have a personal vandetta with one in particular.  I posted the facts above, so you go on thinking no cars outside the 6 finishing in the top 5 like i showed you in facts above is racing, the rest of us will watch cars passing other cars throughout the night while adjusting to the track conditions.  Enjoy Grove, during the feature you should be able to go get a hot dog and pop under green flag and still not miss more than one lap while they putt around the bottum in a train.

No vendetta here....only the truth.  Port could be great if the have it a little wetter at the start of the night.   That is a fact jack....proven many of times over the past few years.  You posted what you think is facts.....but when cars are slipping and sliding all over the track that doesn't count.

Sounds like you are describing the Port when you say train. The hard, black, and dry place before the racing really gets started each night.  YAWN and again I say YAWN!

Can't wait until tonight and tomorrow - Larson is coming!  He is the show when he shows up!

Hey, that is the problem with America we want everything spoon fed to us. We the people have been lazy too long with our research.  That should never be the case always question what you read and hear with boldness.  That is why everyone should do there own research instead of being spoon fed by what the TV is telling us.  They are good at leaving a lot of the truth out of the stories.

Never go by what someone has told you about any subject,  always look it up and question with boldness and never ever use google as a search.

reading what you want to read so you can keep massaging what you already believe is not research.  THAT'S what is wrong with america.

i asked you before what kind of research you've done on track prep.  if you've published a research study where you show that x number of laps by the water truck leads to x number more green flag passes...i'd like to see it.  my guess is you've never read a peer reviewed journal in your life.

No, what is wrong with America is people to lazy to do there own research. They would rather be spoon fed all the information.  That is a fact....Jack!

I have done a lot of research on how tracks should be prepared.  Sometimes it is trial and error.  Most times all you need to do is look at lap times and you can tell what a track is doing.  I have been attending sprint racing since 1983 and these are the facts.

These are the times at the beginning of the night.

Port - Should be in the mid to high 15 second bracket to have a great feature.

Selinsgrove - Should be in the very low 16 second bracket to have a great feature.

Lincoln - Should be in the low to mid 13 second bracket to have a great feature.

Knoxville - Who has the best track prep around the nation.  Should be in the low to mid 15 second bracket to have a great feature.

Eldora - Should be in the very low 13 second bracket to have a great feature.

Any slower that the times I have posted and the heats ( we all know the drivers all want to win the heat since they pay so much) will be the highlight of the night.  When times start slipping and sliding in the heats you will not see even a good feature!  I seen it with my own eyes many of many times!

You can say lap times don't mean a thing and you would be wrong.  As Danny Lasoski said the stopwatch dosen't lie!

I have been to all these tracks multiple times over the years and these times are when they have the best features.

These are the facts....sorry to disapoint you all.

I love this sport and I will do anything for it except having a subpar feature because the track is not prepared correctly!

Strawser, you'll have to let me know if I'm really a race fan, but I like seeing racing/passing during the qualifying events. Unlike you, I go for the whole show not just the feature. I don't understand why you would even show up at a speedway before the feature considering you don't go to races to watch the heats, you are just there for the feature.

Heats mean nothing and in most cases worthless.  You keep thinking the heats are special.  I don't understand that thinking but you go with that!   The feature is where you should have your best track.  Not in the heats!!  I bet the all the drivers would rather have the best track of the night in the heats instead of the feature....since the heats pay so much.

Weather you a race fan is not up to me.....that is entirely up to you.
