I like the idea of splitting the field, but not for 32 or more. I would raise the number to 41 or more and and then combine them into one B Main with group A on the inside row, group B outside row. Knoxville isn't a good test for this format most nights. In fact when you combine the lap times it really didn't matter much overall. When the WoO races at tracks that only have sprint cars once a year in the summer months and the track dries quickly, I think it makes sense, but typically you don't have higher car counts at those tracks anyway. One Outlaw driver told me that most of the competitors think it's a joke. Lasoski got the short end of the deal this Saturday for sure, but it is what it is. It worked out great for Sammy, Jeffrey, and Schatz with the dash inversion. Hopefully the Outlaws did their research and took a sampling of all races with 32 or more cars from the past 2 or 3 years and ran the scenarios. That's what I do for Knoxville in the off-season when we get an idea and want to test it out.
