On his way to winning the Iowa Speedweek Trophy (or whatever it's called) a couple years ago Kevin beat an 80 car field at Knoxville in the first ever Cappy race (I think) which may have been the best ever single day car show/field in history at that place. The acorn doesn't fall far from the tree in this case.....

You're right about that, in more ways than one. Sadly some of that is probably what keeps him from getting a good fulltime chance.

Wrong entirely. He doesn't get full time chances because he won't commit to any. Have we forgotten he's trying to make it in NASCSAR Xfinity series or whatever the hell it is? IMO, Kevin should run sprints full time and forget about NASCAR. If the NASCAR thing was going to happen for him he would be in Cup already. I'm sure it isn't easy for him to see guys like Larson and Stenhouse racing on Sundays and he figures he should be there too. Talent notwithstanding, I just don't see it happening for Kevin though.

Becuase he never had his chance when he drove for Big Game Treestands Part Time at Knoxville, the Indy Race Parts 71, the Bishop Racing 39 and other here and there cars over the last couple years wasnt a chance? #loadit

not sure where you get your information but I owned the 39 that Kevin drove a few years ago. We competed in less than 8 ASCS National races and we won at Salina, and I don't think we finished out of the top 5 but maybe once and that was at the STN where we finished 7th. We finished 2nd at the Knoxville 360 Nationals where we were the fastest car on the track but ran out of laps. Kevin won for Bernie(71), BWW (82), won for Big Game. As a matter of fact, he has one in every kind of car he's been in. Go carts, mini sprints, midgets, 360 sprint cars, 410 sprint cars, ARCA series twice. Should've had 3 more wins in that series but blew RF tires leading the race with a handful of laps left. In the K&N Series he had 3 races won but was crashed in all 3 of them while leading. One of those races he lapped the field on a road course all the way up to 3rd before he was crashed, he came back and finished 8th I think. He's won in everything but NASCAR where he's been in subpar equipment or start and parks, and even then he still has several top 10's in what is now the Xfinity Series. He has been pursuing a NASCAR career because that is where you can make the best living in America. But it is very very hard to do if you do not bring a lot of money with you. There is no doubt in my mind that he is one of the most talented drivers in anything, anywhere in the world. I've seen him jump into cars out of the blue and beat people that do it every week. This guy can get it done. Don't ever doubt that. You may want to do your homework.

No objective fan doubts Kevin's talent but plenty of people are leary of the baggage that Sammy and Kevin brings with them.

+1.
No reason to doubt the Swindell's talent in race cars it's everything else that sucks. Before some fool rips into me about hating on them for their success etc., etc. I'll stop you first by saying I couldn't possibly care any less about their success. It's the Swindell arrogance and lack of respect for fellow competitors that I CANNOT stand.
Cheers!

Baggage....... Sammy has been in some major sponsored cars his whole career for having anybody be leary. Who is really who? Name them cause I havent seen baggage or leary his whole career. He could land a killer ride at 59 if he wanted, in fact sponsors would line up for him cause history proves no matter how much you think he is this or that, sponsors dont think so and they open the checkbook to him time and time again.....Truth

Bulldog put on a good show last night. Struggled in time trials but took a provisional and was hard charger, only non-outlaw in top 10.
