K-mart,

Not sure of your question.

No reason to check compression as ASCS does not have a rule on compression...CZ

I dont see how if there is no compresion rule how the cost of the motor isnt going to keep getting higher by leeps and bounds. One of the things that attracted people to the 360 was you could more than likely run a whole season with one or two motors. Im just asking cuz I thinking Im missing something here.

Schatz embarrasses everyone for almost 10 years at Knoxville and never one post claiming he has an illegal engine.  You people simply amaze me.

You amaze me.

So in your head Jack Dover + Ford = Donny Schatz  ?????

That's funny.    Just about as funny as the claim that he's proved everything possible in the ASCS and is ready to take on the WoO.

K-mart,

I'm wasn't referring to whether there should be a compression rule or not, I'm simply answering your original question, which was, "did they check his compression..."

His compression could be 12 to 1, it might be 18 to 1, whatever it is, there is no rule on maximum compression with ASCS.

Now whether there should be a compression rule, that's another discussion...CZ

How does this engine compare to the Roush/Yates Ford?  Is this a new combo or a Roush/Yates engine with a new sticker on the valve cover?

Chris Moss was the Sprint Car Program Manager at Roush Yates. So I suppose it is a Roush Yates with a new sticker, but he might be doing a few things different with it.

Love that Ford 360 power.

Where is all this success that Casey Luna had?  I think Dave won his only W of O championship when Steve started the season in NASCAR, right?  Dave was a great driver, one of the smoothest ever (especially at the Big E) but don't ever remember him dominating at any one time or with a Ford, am I missing something???  I can guarantee ya' from my experiences on the highway chasing sprint cars and setting up to sell photos ALL over the country, nobody cared what was under the hood nor was it ever talked about.  But is sure can be an obsession for some, sheesh.....

I don't think they want you to learn to much about it, I would be interested to find out how it became legal with a 20 degree valve angle and canted valves. they should try that with a chevy head then see what the results are.

See what I mean?  The same chev wins the only race that even matters year after year and the thought of it being illegal is a silly joke but a Ford sponsored by a local roofer wins a couple regional 360 races and its a cheater for sure.

Luna's Ford engine style that won 2 WoO titles and 3
Kings Royals before a weight rule against the best EVER
in their prime and now DOMINATES super dirt late model
racing is no longer allowed/wanted in a WoO sprint
car.... Was Luna a miracle worker?

Are you on the same forum as everyone else Minthess? Schatz and cheating? after the Nationals Hoseheads usually has at least 5 threads started about cheating and conspirecies. It was pretty quiet this year but I know there was at least 1 cause they were talking about traction control again.

It seems that you are about the only one that gives a rat's ass what anyone runs. Most just care about who the driver is and, on some occasions, who built the powerplant. BTW, most of the Fords I've seen this year have gone backwards in the features..........360s and 410s.
