I'M NOT GOING TO SUPPORT 'RACE RAGE ',,,,, This is not want I want to see on the track,,,,, If it comes to putting people in the stands to see if someone is going to fight ,,,,,,, I would rather see the grand stands half empty ,,,,,, We don't need that style of bullshit around Sprint car racing,,,,,, If you want to see fights ,,,,, stay home and watch it on HBO,,,, For $14;95 ,,,,,, I'm just Say'n. ,,,,,,ZZ

i dont want to see fighting at the track . i go there for the racing . i am not the majority , same as you . next race ask 20 people you dont know why they go watch the sprint cars . its surprising how many of them go just to see the crashes . its part of the deal , we all know this . nascar does not want to see drivers fighting off the track , but when it happens they use it to sell tickets , knowing what the majority wants to see . there isnt much in this world that is truely fair , so we do whatever it takes to keep going .

I don't like seeing crashes on the track because I know a lot of people put a lot of time and money into being there. Mostly they want to be up front at the end of the race, not on the end of a tow truck. However, sometimes it is the crashes that show the intensity of the races. And that is what I want to see when I go to the sprint car races. Intense racing.

Ha, James why are you telling me who the duckslayer is? I've know you for some time now and what your handle is... Hey, and why didn't you watch the stream? If you had you would have heard what Scott said.

See ya in Yuma duckkiller.

Kenny

Just thought I would let the world know I have a real name I guess... Hey FYI for Yuma, to get that discount rate at the Cocopah Hotel and Casino I had to call them on the telephone. Kids, the telephone is that thing in the corner of your kitchen with the funny shaped handle and slinky cord sticking out of it... haha. Yea, I could not book on-line and get the cheap or "racers" rate, seems weird to have to call for a hotel room booking these days but it saved me some cash. More for the craps table!

So the stream is legit. I might do it. I see some folks enjoying the races on line which I think is great for the sport. Since "I miss Ascot" is taken and I never get to hunt anymore, I should change it up to "I miss Perris"

Enjoy Arizona Speedway. My picks are 1. 12 Pelkey 2. 20 Deskins 3. 50 Davis. 77 Johnson hard charger award

I have never come across with this forum before, or any other racing forums really, but someone told me there's something going on in here and indeed this is kind of interesting stuff...

I hate drama. But I love racing in a form of pure, simple competition PER SE! Racing hasn't been personal for me since I turned 12. I gave up quite a promising formula car career due to excessive amount of bullshit and politics in Formula 1 and I have no intentions of getting involved with those in sprint car racing. What intrigued me in this sport was that it was raw and straight forward without showoff factor and behind-the-scenes-politics.

Now to me this "ima beat ya ass boy" kinda smack-talking, dick-swinging contests outside of the track are just plain stupid. There's enough competition and drama and danger in this sport without any of this bs. If you wanna see more of that maybe you should watch wrestling instead?

I don't know. Or maybe I just don't get it. If that's the case: I'm sorry for interfering.

My point is that I have always thought Matt is a very nice guy and I still think he is. I also think he has been crashing a lot lately and so have I. I don't believe in continuous bad luck and I think both of us will need to look in mirrors. Yeah I spun on my own once in Perris (after that Williams-assisted 360) and that caused Matt to wreck too. Ruined both of ours races. My mistake. Just bad luck for Matt this time.

Anyway the reason I wrote here is to stop this soap opera and to inform that Matt called me yesterday, we spoke for quite a while about racing and other stuff in general, all is good, he apologized on punching me in the head and told me we should hang out one day. I said I had my helmet on so it didn't really even hurt, there was no damage to me and he just made himself look kinda silly.

So yeah don't be expecting any revenge kinda action from anyone's side here next time in Perris. It's car racing and that's all there is to it. At least for me.

Thanks Lew!

And addition to my post... now after reading that last part of the post of mine it kind of looks like I might think something bad about Matt after all which really isn't the case. He is a great driver, good guy, been very helpful with my racing with his advice especially last year. Just flipped out there cause he was frustrated with bunch of different crashes. I understand that.

So let's just go racing because that can be very fun, actually, when you cut the bullshit. At least for me. I don't live 6000 miles away from my wife, who I miss very much, and my parents and the rest of my life to deal with politics, games and bs. I could get paid to do that if I joined the parlament back in Finland. I'm here because I love driving in circles every saturday.

That's my 2 cents. Now I go back to writing a column to Finnish magazine with has a deadline in 2 hours so that I can pay for my being in here and driving in these circles... Smile

Oh c'mon Markus . I think you and Matt should take off the helmets and throw down at the flag stand .we can have Scott call it and sale more Beer in intermission. Good luck to you and Matt both.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Marcus, in the spirit of Sisu, have a great season. Keep it pointed somewhat straight, keep at least one wheel on the ground and don't forget your helmet.
