LMAO!!!! Greatest of all time????? Really????? While the guy is a great driver he still hasnt won a race in Nationwide yet. While it should happen this year it still hasnt yet. These are the kind of comments that make me laugh, settle down McLain. For someone to say its almost time to put him in the category of greatest of all time has to rank right up there for one of the stupidest comments on HH of all time.

I've seen some of the greatest of all time including the one I consider the greatest race driver of all time A J Foyt. I do not say this lightly or without much thought, but Kyle Larson is the only driver since him that I compare to Foyt. He has won in every type of ride he's sat in so far & I think we all agree that a Nationwide win is next. As I recall that was a trait of the great Mr Foyt as well. So call me stupid but my money is on me being right & soon.

Dave, I would have to say that Tony Stewart is more like AJ than Kyle as of right now. Tony has WON at the highest level, 3 NASCAR championships and back when USAC was very highly competitive he kicked butt there too, let alone how good he does on a part time schedule against the WoO. Not saying that Kyle cant get there, but he doesnt even have a Nationwide win. Will that change? More than likely yes and very soon. However to crown him as one of the greatest ever or just as good as AJ Foyt is absurd this early in his career. Is the potential there? Absolutely, no question, but you got to get it done on the track against the best for quite a few years in my opinion to be ranked as an all time great. Potential alone doesn't get it done. Alot of W's and multiple championships will get you placed with the best of all time.

I'm thinkin along the same lines as some here, This kid can feel by the seat of his pants & I recall Doty saying the same thing on his twitter account. My question to those that don't feel that way did Stewart & Foyt win as many races & 1 series as Larson in his 1st 2 years of more or less racing. Hell he won in Non Wing Sprints, Wing Sprints, Midgets while winning the K & N Filters Series. He will not win a USAC champoinship or a WOO championship because he is going to the next level & then the next after that as long as he stays healthy. I believe the kid pretty much started racing sprints in 2010 or 2011 & look at the races that he won at a track he had never even seen before. Eldora, Bellville, Oskaloosa, Lowly ol Waynesfield, Cannonball speedway so on & so on. Dirt or Asphalt. I'll guarantee you he would be top 3 in points in NWS if not for someone else screwups.

jreven, I know that but I was talking about the last 2 years & didn't word it like I wanted too. Now I have no idea what he did before 2010 or 2011 but that was the time frame when I started hearing about the kid. The parts after the 1st 2 years should have explained a little more at what I was getting at. Sorry for misleading.

Many may think you are nuts for saying he will win the NNS championship, BUT, it is defnitely not impossible. If he doesn't get a Cup ride next year, (which is going to happen) he could easily win it next year as he is a very quick study anywhere he goes. He learned Bristol in 72 hours. Think about his finishes this year:
1. Daytona--half the car in the fence--still finishes 13th after leading late in the race
2. Phoenix--13th
3. Vegas--running around the top ten before issues and then wiped out in someone else's wreck
4. Bristol--we all saw it
And, he is still 9th in points after all of that. If he can keep the wheels on the car he will be running in or around the top 5 or 10 most of the year. I also predict a win or two. And I don't think it will necessarily be on a short track either. Time will tell, but this is going exactly the way I thought it would. Like Nascar or not, he is going to start to fill the stands again in the next 5 years. Jimmie got worn out by him 2 weeks ago and Kyle got worn out by him late today. I think this is only a glimse of what is to come.

Just think what Steinhouse could do if he had a chevy!!

Alex Bowmam from Tucson AZ who finished 3rd at Daytona and is also out of the USAC ranks is 8th in points! He would be higher if he hadn't been caught up in a crash at Phoenix.
Half the lies they tell about me aren't true.
