From Ibracn................ BAD NEWS FOR THE BANDIT ....UPDATE #2 11/21/2012 UPDATE #2 - FACT - (11-21-12 @ 8:00 am) - I was listening to the November 20th edition of Winged Nation (great show) and Kendra Jacobs shed some light on this rumor. She has been looking into this rumor and found out that the Ohio shop that has housed the CJB Motorsports #19 car has in fact closed up. The shop is now empty. All of the equipment has been moved to Pennsylvania and is sitting in their shop there, sharing with the #51 team. Now, it is everyone's guess as to what is going to happen from here on. According to Kendra, her sources state that this team is NOT closing down and that Stevie Smith will still drive the Black Bandit #19. Jacob's states that there is no word on the schedule or what the exact plans are. Only time will tell.

What are the chances of stevie racing with the outlaws? Little to nothing.

Smith is actually trying to make the 19 work himself using the 27 motors. Luck never paid Stevie so for his share of earnings he is allowed to use the truck and trailer until the government comes and gets it. problem is no one wants any where near the equipment until the dust settles! It will get ugly just google the Durham deal. The guy owned the bus operation and also the trailer business (united trailers) and he was doing the same ponzi deal and is going away for awhile.

And Stevie is such a good guy. But I guess the old saying might be true. Good guys.......

Sure wish him the best and hope to see him back out there.

We have lots of cars why would we want him?

Maybe because he is another race car

I hope he runs with us all year

If they want that car to win, they need to let the Dude run it out of his own shop. When the Dude was on top that's how it was done.

WRONG Slink on most parts of your post. CREW CHIEF let go, PR Man resigns, Shop in OHIO cleaned out and EVERYTHING is in a shop MILES AWAY from the 51's shop. Stevie is starting over WITHOUT help from Clemons, with nothing definate yet EXCEPT THAT Stevie is basically starting over. The stuff from the OHIO Shop is being liquidated. Clemons people CLEANED OUT the Ohio shop without help from Stevie's crew. HUGE DIFFERENCE in FACT VS FICTION. There is huge distance between Clemons and Stevie, and this is by design. And remember, Stevie's original plan, as designed by an owner under investigation for a PONZI scheme, was to run the full WoO schedule in 2013. Luckless, this will not be happening for the Black Bandit 19 at this stage of the game. Kendra painted a prettier picture, but please remember that the former crew chief of Stevie's deal is married to a family member of hers. Most of her "findings" are flawed also. Granted, Stevie may derive a Black Bandit 19 deal in 2013, but I highly doubt from developments over the past few weeks that it will be with Clemons as the owner.

What does Kendra have to say about it these days?

Stevie is a good guy, and hope he comes out well. As far as the Zemco with the dude, they can stay out in PA.

When the Feds decide it is time to come down on Chris Luck for his involvement with the multi-million dollar Ponzi scheme he perpetuated, MANY heads are going to roll, much property is going to ne seized, there may even be whole race team devoured, and it does not matter to the Feds if you had a dollar's worth of partnership or hundreds of thousands in partnership, you are still complicite in their eyes and they are going to take everything you have also, in addition to what Mr Luck and the Ponzi Players have acquired. My question is, how many prominent and wealthy players in Sprint Car Racing invested money with Luck and associates, and lost money through the Ponzi scheme?

Here is an interview with Chris Luck, almost three months before the long arm of the SEC came down on May 24th, and you can listen to him explain how the relationship of all involved came about: http://www.dirtcast.com/hTAd7/sound-off-chris-luck-sprint-cars-030112/ I chuckled when Luck stated "I have to be careful what I say"

That can't be true Slink knows it all. He reads things on the internet.

I read once, on the internet, that "you are what you eat"...

.

.

That must mean that Smitty eats tubs of port wine cheese because he's always whining about Port...

Now mwilaski, on the other hand, must eat three squares of jerk chicken cuz he's a jerk and a chicken...

.

.

As for me, I always seen myself as a bit of a pusse... wink

Opinions may vary...

So back to the original topic? I thought the Dude was driving for Guy Forbrook? He can't drive both cars at Nationals, and I am pretty sure Forbrook wants to win the Nationals just as badly as the ZEMCO team does? What gives???

This is true but lets see how long it takes for Al Drake to blow the whistle and get it deleted.

This is what i have to say about it:

It's extremely unfortunate that the team, as it was, did not work for whatever reason. It's unfortunate that people are having to find new jobs over this deal. I will not even begin to discuss what I think about Chris Luck.

From every account I've heard I stand by that the 19 team is NOT shut down. That they will still run with Stevie as the driver. That CJB will be involved. And yes, I have heard that Heffner may be a partner now rather than running their traditional No. 27.

Agreed. Chris Luck is a highly censored topic on here - trust me, I know. Not sure what type of arrangement him and Al have. They must be BEST FRIENDS??!??

We usually have until the afternoon when Al gets home from work until these things are deleted......Until then....ENJOY!

Finally read through all this. If the 27 team can supply engines, I'd think the 19 can survive whether the feds come take the trailer or not. I just drove by the "old" (2008 and prior) #19 shop in New Oxford and the trailer Stevie was using 4, 5, 6 years ago is sitting there unused and it wasn't exactly an open trailer.

If this is true it's a bit dissapointing since I assume it means the 27 car isn't running in 2013, but I'd think if Heffner is involved, the car will be running mainly in PA? Heffner hasn't been around long, but he's always been very proud of being from PA and being considered Posse (May 2011 WoO victory lane interview comes to mind). Guess we'll see in a couple months.
