Will you be racing in Florida in February? If so, me and a couple of buddies may be interested in helping out with some dollars if you're at Volusia. I live in Woodville and my buddy is from Sidney, Ohio.

Ive had the pleasure of knowing and racing with Christopher for several years. He and his family are some of the nicest most down to earth people you will ever meet. This isn't the typical racing success story that bought their way to the top. Chris has earned his way every step! Chris drove his butt off and Darren Ruston took notice and put him in a new micro. Chris took advantage of that opportunity and over the next couple of years won an ASCS2 Championship and the $10,000 to win 66 Mike Phillips Memorial last year and drove the MelMark midget quite a bit the past year or two along with a few shows in the Ferkel car before moving up there to drive it full time this summer. The kid has literally earned everything he has gotten in this sport the right way. You won't meet a more respectful or clean driving kid out there. He hasn't bought his way to the top like many kids. He is the REAL deal!!!!

DRYSLICK WILLIE: I was sitting at the end of turn 4 myself. Pretty amazing in this day & age we had to sit there with no sound system... but par for course when you consider Lanny, gotta love him. I thought I heard Aaron Reutzel in the 17... wrong 17, though. When I saw Chris in the pits I was a little blown away... looks like the kid that he is. A MAN behind the wheel! I walked the track after the race... great in 3/4 & pretty rubbered up & slick in 1/2; I could see why they were all struggling there. Chris looked really good there at times up high.

It was only two years ago that Christopher Bell and Blake Hahn staged an epic battle for the ASCS Outlaw championship. They went back and forth all year - it came down to the last A main at Cowtown and Hahn had a 7 point lead. Bell started outside row 2 - Hahn inside row 9.
Blake passed about a dozen cars in the first 5 laps and with Bell running 2nd and Hahn 6th - Bell's chain broke. It was so close. It was thrilling to watch and cover, not just that night - but the entire season. Sad part was no announcer was even on the call that night. All 3 championships came down t the final laps, literally ---- and the local hillbilly announcer had already left. So the fans that remained had no clue how close it was in all three races for all three titles. Bell did best Steven Shebester for the Non Wing (stock 600) ASCS2 title that season. Bell started getting into sprint cars more in 2011. Blake Hahn won a second consecutive (and the final) ascs2 outlaw title. Shebester won the Non Wing.
Consider Blake Hahn and Christopher Bell and the burst they are making in sprint cars - and consider that both were constantly being pushed by competitors in Oklahoma mini sprint racing. Taking nothing away from them - as in 2010 you could tell these two had talent that would blossom. But there are still many drivers around here that similar potential. Will they get an opportunity like Blake Hahn and Christopher Bell???
I think so. I think the meteoric rise of both of those tremendous talents will put a lot of the right eyes on many of the competitors they battled with, especially at Port City Raceway. It's great to see both doing so well. And both are really good guys - for the two years I covered them in mini sprints they were among the best young lads I'd ever met. With the talent they have, but also a good head on their shoulders - they will both have a lot of success in racing. And with the great depth of talent in the mini sprint ranks in Oklahoma - I think there could be more to follow in the years to come.

That last race, that kid had me sitting on the edge of my seat! He was racing that 360 like he'd been driving them for years!

There are very few drivers as humble and polite as Christopher Bell that have the talent he has. He has been awesome over the last few years.
