Almost 3 hrs there and 3 hours back, OUCH! At least I got my autographed "Year to Remember" t-shirt and a new Kinser Hoodie, but damn! I can't disagree with any of the posts above, track was an embarrassment.

Move the gold cup to perris so I don't have to drive so far.
We need more sprint car racing at our home track.

Someone definitely needs to be fired. However, a more effective message to the embarrasment that is silver dollar one lane will be the drop in attendance that will inevitably result from their incompetence. Please someone who cares take over: Hawes, Tulare guys, Prentice, anyone?

from facebook Ok here it is in sept. the last WOO "race" at a cost of $50 was a follow the leader, one lane ,no passing joke that was blamed on the intense heat for several days. BULLSHIT. Last night the same exact BULLSHIT " race " @ $50 was presented to us AGAIN but this time the extensive rain was the reason. WTF its the 4P syndrome PADJEN's PATHETIC PREPARATION for PROFIT. Dont say its Dennis Gage running the track, anyone who has eyesight can see thats BS You have a true professional videographer in Dean Mills sick up on the roof wasting his time filming that BS "race" and another professional Troy Hennig in the booth calling the "race" wasting his time also.Bobby Gerould was spared the embarrassment by not sitting next to Troy last night in the booth. We wonder why 410 racing is dying in Cali? this kind of shit is why..... WHO THE F*** cares about the pits WORK on the TRACK. PEOPLE stand up and be heard WRG stuck it to Jason Sides , are we gonna let Chico stick it to us at $50 per person?

Fifty dollars to see an Outlaw train race with a standard Outlaw purse?

So CA takes the honor of the worlds slowest 1/4 mile...at slower lap times than TWICE the distance at the Gorve? The irony of reality... Sad day for paying race fans

From the results I see a few people did some passing and got passed but really what else to you expect from the World Of Outlaws.

Words cant describe how bad this race was, I have been to a lot of sprint car races in my lifetime and this was the worst by far. They should have given money back to the sppectators. Dont understand how the track was so effing dry and slick. My last outlaw race for sure. Like watching a merry-go-round at the carnival. The outlaws are a joke now. Next time will be dinner and a movie

Hey, the outlaws do not prepare a track, I would not blame them too much

i think the only people who got passed were the ones that got passed on the original start and those that spun out during the race.

except for that exciting race for last place.

That's pretty much the way it was from the green. Larson was all over Sides for ninth for a while and spun trying to make something happen off of turn 2. Several cars changed positions late due to a couple of flat tires at the very end, Whitchurch and Hirst both had flat tires the last couple of laps. Other then that, there was NO passing.

the leader didn't even want to get into lapped traffic!

schatz slowed down to keep from having to deal with lapped traffic and no one could take the chance at trying to pass him!

Watching the highlights on speed channel. clearly no speed every car poking on the bottom across the finish Line with a visible rubber down lane ...no wonder they didn't show any " action"!

The best action of the night was when Cody Darrah took hold of the rubber and chased down TK to win the 2nd heat. After that the sprint car action was nil. Watching Schatz trying to not catch traffic was pretty much the action for the Outlaw main. This night of dirt track racing made NASCAR look appealing.

I hate to read posts like this about a track in the state I live. What a crying shame. The place is not travel worthy for me anymore.

been making the drive from tacoma washington since 99'. i was embarassed to say the least. been to a lot of races here but since the gold cup last year, this was a repeat. plus, they cancelled around 1 pm on saturday, didn't rain till early this morning (sunday).

i just hope that someone can make it work and listen to the fans but i am worried for chico.....on to two-larry...!!!

Ascot was the greatest of all time..

West Capital wasn't half bad either..

Life is good...

If the GRADER had been brought out and made an ATTEMPT to fix the track I think most people would be much happier. MANY other tracks perform this many times during the year so they can ATTEMPT to providing a great track for both fans and drivers. It seems as though Chico does it one time per year and thats only if the track is in the worst conditon. Ever seen track work on a friday night show??? To pour water on a sealed track is like spitting on a fire. You could see the track was bad during hot laps with one groove on the bottom and it NEVER changed during the night.

The reason they cancelled was the POOR attendance on Friday and they knew many people AND cars were not returning Saturday. They had 54 on Friday and maybe would have had 45 on Saturday and charged MORE money.

The issue with the PAST and present promoters is that they appear to not look at this as a business where you MUST MAKE YOUR BEST ATTEMPT to make people happy in order to get your EXISTING customers and NEW customers (drivers AND fans) into your facility and put a smile on their face so they tell other people and also return again to buy your product. Most businesses offer specials or promotions...does the track ever offer a buy one get 1 free or anything like that? Does the driver get a reduced rate for the pits EVER? Everyone keeps paying the same rate (unless your on the special list then you get in free just because your someone special) and they get tired of being treated like a heard of buffalo getting them into the pens and then just leave them there...then when your done you are to get out and no "thank You".

If the manager burns your food at a restaurant do they attempt to fix it? If they responded to you with "our oven is stuck on high tonight and the food is just going to be burnt" and we are sorry but thats how it is going to be tonight...then would you expect some type of refund or would you be happy with just paying the bill? If it happened again the next time you visited the place...would you come back again? Chico has been going down hill for awhile (started with Padgen) and the car counts are proving it with the weekly shows not just the special shows. People are tired of getting crapped on week after week and yet some people just keep saying it will improve and support your local track. Did you happen to see how many EMPTY seats there were in the grandstands?? People are tired of paying $35-$40 to watch 3 hours of racing. when the announcer is talking about the battle for last place...you know there is something wong. Is there any type of "family" pricing to watch racing at Silver Dollar Speedway??? NO

The whole situation with Chico is sad. Remember when SDS used to be relevant? The torch has clearly been passed to Ocean Speedway as the place to be for sprint car fans to be on Friday nights.
