It's is no fun. I have a buddy going through positional vertigo right now. You will think you have something major at first so there is a big scare that goes along with it. Hope T Dub gets back soon. I know Wolfie had vertigo when he tried to get back in a sprint car and was throwing up in the car. I remember him saying he needed to get back to a point where the race before him played out in slow motion. That was the comfort level he was hoping to return too.

I have had the positional vertigo that T Dub has. Usually you wake up some morning with the symptoms cause by granular crystals in the inner ear, left or right but not generally both. There is no way you could drive a sprint car in this condition. The treatment that worked for me was to self induce the dizziness to the point that your brain stops reacting to the crystals moving around. As nauseating as it sounds it does work as a fix. Example. If I set on the edge of the bed and rapidly flopped over to my right side the dizzy feeling was intense, making you puke. If I flopped over to my left side there was no vertigo, hence positional vertigo. Sometimes they come back. My vertigo lasted 2 weeks and I have not had a symptom since 2007.

I was coming off right shoulder surgery at the time and was sleeping on my left side constantly causing the calcium crystals to settle in my left middle ear tube.

http://www.hoseheadforums.com/forum.cfm?ThreadID=58748 read this post, there are a few of us who have BPPV stated that it sounder like BPPV, there is a specialist in the Kansas City area that works with people of all ages, 14-80 years old, if the people would read about BPPV they may understand, I wish it on no 1, many nights I have slept in the Lazyboy recliner. Some people have to live with this 24-7. Sometimes you may not be bothered for weeks then with a hour your hurting real bad, you get wa warning that is going to happen about 50% of the time.

PS I am not a big fan of Walkers but he is still a human being.

I am one of the nay-sayers in all of this, and this press release still doesn't change my mind. I never said he didn't have vertigo. All I said was there is no way he was released outright from his ride, after winning the king's royal, from a 7-10 day case of vertigo. If it was, then Keen Motorsports either has no brains or no patience at all whatsoever. But, I am going to go with my original gut instincts on this. There is more to the story or the relationship between the two was either rocky or going sour. Not saying anything was done illegally by Tyler, but maybe things weren't too great between them. Like i said on another post, I too am an employer, and i would never let one of my top guys go because they may or may not have a medical issue. I want them to have a doctor tell them that it is a long term or career ending injury or illness before i am going to permanetly replace them. Best of luck to both parties in the future.

So if one of "your" employees had a medical issue and couldn't work you would let his eqiupment set until he was able to? I bet your business wouldn't be very successful !

As I see it there are just some people that like to think the worse of others because it makes them feel better about their own inadequate lives.

Now lets see who's going to step up and say, no it doesn't!... Kidding aside, or not, there are people on this forum that would step into that, and they still might.

It is funny you should say this as I just had someone come to me to take a leave from work for a medical reason right before I left for the Nationals (on monday the 8th). At the time I did not know whether or not this person was going to be able to return to work when I got back or ever at all. I made a couple of calls to work from the campgrounds while I was gone and he still was not back to work yet and still had not gotten to the bottom of the problem. When I returned on Monday, I got a phone call from him and without going into personal details, he was going to return to work on Tuesday. Even though he isn't a model employee, I didn't jump to conclusions when he left for the hospital on the 8th and it turned out it was a good decision.

So, yes his equipment (a waterjet if you need specifics) sat for 7 days. If is turned out he needed some time off, I would have brought someone in on a temp basis to fill in. Then would have given him his job back if he were healthy to work. Why was Tyler out of a job for good in 48 hours? I was willing to give a less than model employee a week to give me an answer about his health and the winner of the King's Royal is out of a job 48 hours after making a doctor's appointment?

You're good, your real good. What a great story even though I don't believe a word of it. I think it a hypothetical story that you thought you'd make real, especially after reading your prior post's.. It all fit's very well except for one very important thing, you really don't know a damn thing about it except what was released.

So let me ask you a question, what do you think, or more importantly, what would you like to believe is the answer to your own question?

First off, story is completely true. Second, I am not going to speculate on what happened between the two of them. I AM SIMPLY GIVING MY OPINION THAT I DO NOT BELIEVE HE WAS LET GO PERMANETLY TO HAVE SOME TESTS DONE!!! I don't really care to ever uncover the truth. Could be Keen is the cause of all of the problems. I DON'T KNOW!!!! I just don't believe that i would release as valuable of a driver as Tyler, because he wanted to go see the doctor!!!! Don't understand why everyone is getting so defensive! I have a right to give my opinion. I will give my employee your best since you think his condition is bull@#t!!!

I think you're full of crap, and the only reason you keep bringing this up is so that people will speculate about, and think the worst about Tyler. I also think after reading your post's that your a despicable mean spirited prick! I usually don't call people names on this forum, and anyone who's been on here for any length of times knows that's true; but for you I'm going to make a exception. It's very plain to anyone who reads the crap you've been posting that you hope Tyler has relapsed so you can be proved right. You're as phony as a two dollar bill, and I have no qualms about calling it as I see it my own self!

I'm in recovery too, this time it's been 12 years without a drink or a toke. No big deal, I had 12 years once before this 12, and what happened to me between those 12 years I wouldn't wish on anyone, except maybe you!!

How about it takes less time to type two instead three, and since I type with one finger, timing is everything.

You and I have more than few things in common, and one of them is not being afraid to speak up when something needs, or should be said.

Thanks for taking that in stride, as a joke. Was just screwing with you.

Calm down take a typing break and let Egras just be Egras. Don't resort to name calling and wishing things on people.

And yes keep it real

It's OK, and the name calling was me just making a point about how I really feel, and you know what? It felt just fine. As far as wishing things on Egras, that was just for effect. You know, a big ending..LOL

Now if your going to start telling me what to do or say, you might as well just get in line behind Egras, because you'll be next.Sarcastic smiley emoticon Another big ending. Don't tell anyone smiley emoticon

You are completely wrong about me. I do not hope he has gone into a relapse. I am not a mean spirited prick. I really don't know what my posts did to convey this, but if they did i apologize. Happy you have been clean for 12 years and i don't wish that on anyone! I never realized that I would piss that many people off for simply giving my thoughts on a very odd situation. I won't post on it again.

I also run a waterjet . What do you have? We havve a Techni and an Omax. We're not very busy right now . How is your workload? If it's like ours , my job would be there too if I took some time off. But when busy , the machines WOULD NOT sit waiting for my return.

Where are you located? We have a Flow and it is down a lot. High maintenance beotch!! If you are close to us, I could use another source to get some work done when we are down. We are way behind right now, but our operator is back and we are starting to see a light at the end of the tunnel. But it won't be long and we will have a back log again, especially if we have another 2 week period like we had before the nationals. The week before, machine was down with a pump problem, and we get it back up on friday, only to have our operator be gone from monday-monday!! Not a very productive 2 weeks.

We are located in north-central IL. thanks.

We are in central PA. The Techni has a KMT pump which works great! The rest of the machine is junk . The OMAX works great but the pump is very high maintenance. We'd take the work if it was possible to overcome the distance. If you want to send me your email we can keep in touch that way.
