Just built a new shop. Terry just recently said that not running the WoO series is NOT about the money, Tod gives them all the money the team needs. Terry also saying he would not leave Big Game #24 for a ride with KKR or TSR. What is really going on with this team? Why this sudden change? Seems to me that the Big Game Treestands company was thriving the last few years and now the team is done? Lots of feature wins this year for Terry with multiple series.

Nothing confirmed yet, but didnt you read this on this thread?........

I can tell you that Terry himself told us live on the radio on our Live Trackside show before the races tonight that Todd is "talkin about sellin everything" so he wasn't sure what the future holds---he joked that he may be managing a Casey's store or something---so Id say its true since T-Mac commented about it himself----very unfortunate I think----they've had an outstanding year and Terry is a hell of a driver---Im sure he'll get a ride---but who wil it be with?

With that said and selling tee shirts and sweat shirts for next to nothing something has to be going on.

I saw TMac at Oskaloosa, just before the feature came out for the non-wing show, they were handing out toys and this little boy did not have one. Terry stopped from going across the track to ask the little guy what was wrong and then ran over to the pit stand to get him a toy, and ran back across the track to give it to the little guy. I became a fan right there...how many people, not just race car drivers would do that...that's one of the things you can't teach, that was just an instinct...TMac will be fine...

Terry has always been super with the kids. I know some dont like him, which is the case with all the drivers. Some like ya some dont. However you cant knock him when it comes to the kids and taking a few moments to chat with them or in your case hand the little guy a toy. TMac will be fine and wont be rideless long if indeed that is the case.

Maybe this will add to the argument of Tony Stewart and Kasey Kahne hurting sprint car racing more than they are helping? It's great those guys are supporting their roots for sure and fielding teams in different forms of the sport. But are they indirectly driving up the cost of the sport?

engines cost 40k 10 years ago before stewart and kane even owned world of outlaw cars. without owners like stewart and kane the woo would probably be done by now. If it wasn't them it would be someone else who was willing to spend a million dollars a year to make 250k. the motive and dynamic in racing is not purely economic. ie, in most cases it is not a business run for profit but ego. if owners are willing to spend the money to win that's there prerogative only thing i can say is call obama, tell him things are not fair, maybe we can get the goverment to take over sprint car racing next... make sure the fast cars pull extra weight, give poor teams goverment subsidies..

by the way, just kidding on the obama comment, i am sure given the opportunity they would be more than willing to take over any private industry at this point.

Tuesday's with TMAC is out and there is no mention of closing down. They plan to race with the IRA in Superior, WI and the Jerry Richert Memorial at Cedar Lake this weekend. No mention of selling or anything. Not even a word about killing the rumors that have been going around. Something funny going on here.

A wise PR man once said that all chatter is good pr, no matter if it is positive or negative. It is much worse if they are not talking about you at all.

Thats what I was going to say. I hope they stick together and race next year. It would be weird not seeing Terry N BigGame together after so long working with one another. It could all be smoke, who knows. Until they say something about it, Im not going to believe all the rumors even though I did ask the question of BigGame selling out.

It wouldn't surprise me if Schatz/TSR deal was already pretty much done. Seems Donny just isn't running up to par other than Knoxville in the last 2 months. He's still running well, but not like the Donny of 2008. I'd guess they are stuck using what's left in the hauler and whatever happens, happens. With sponsorship loss, TSR will be a shadow of its former self in 2010, I expect to see 1 WoO sprintcar and 1 USAC sprintcar and that's it. Tony could afford to keep running things as is, but you'd have to be pretty naive to think that Tony and Kasey are actually going to be putting THEIR money into these deals. JMO

There was a rumor out there about three or so month ago that kasey was going to three world of outlaw team with cody darrah driving for him and the usac team was going away. Have not heard a thing about it in three or so months which mean it will most likely not happen.

No idea if any of this is true or not but if if Tod does sell out, he should purchase Huset's Speedway and hire T-mac to be the manager of it for him. With Terry as promoter that place would be a gigantic gold mine instead of the picture of sub-mediocrity it currently is!
