Knoxville, Eldora, Charllotte, Williams Grove, Lernerville, Terre Haute, run the bottom and I'll pass you on the top. After being out 8 years, and owning it since day one, '02 is the best dirt racing game period! In fact, I might play it right now, again.

Pass on the top? Maybe at Knoxville but not at the others, at least against someone who knows what they are doing

Rfactor will soon fit all your wants and needs unless you are an offline only gamer. Unlimited amount of drivers in an online race. The game is openly modable and has much superior graphics compared to the old ratbag games.
In comparison, you could only have ten drivers max in a race with the old ratbag games. The online code was suspect at best and in the higher quality ratbag games (WoO 2002 and Saturday Night Speedway) you couldn't add new tracks or skins.
For an example, here's a video clip that some guys from New Zealand made, running midgets at my version of Huset's in Rfactor.
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Hi0uVBcGnD4&feature=related
Keep in mind that the game looks much better than what the clip shows. The video has to be majorly compressed to get it on youtube.
We've also released a version of Silver Dollar, Knoxville, Vegas, Williams Grove and Attica. Also, Chili Bowl, Eagle, Fremont, Belleville and Bloomington are very close to being released.
There also is a new sprint in the works.
Forget the existing game companies. They've never got it right. This kind of gaming needs to be developed by people that have a passion for the sport, not by someone that tries to get you to buy their game by putting a cheap looking version of Tony Stewart's sprint in it.

What is this Ratbag Games (plural) you speak of? I was under the impression there was only 1 Ratbag game and it was a game you downloaded into your computer.

I'm currently developing a game like the old ratbag game. I've had some delays with it but still hopeful that I will get it released this year. I'm in the car physics testing phase with ai system completed. Biggest issue right now is getting Licenseing for woo and getting ahold of most tracks for likeness use.
