Wow, the WoO still holds racing events? There are those who know it all on these message boards that said the WoO stock was so bad that they wouldn't make it past the month of May. I figured they must know what they talk about cause they talk a good game so I quit paying attention.

Gee, the WoO are still racing. Wonder what else I don't know.

This is the offical write up from the world of outlaws. Quotes from the drivers also. Just because Johnny Gibson announces something, doesn't make it true. Often the case, he gets very excited and calls things the way he would like them to be, and forgets to correct what he says wrong. This is not the first time Gibson has called things on the air that did not happen, and did not correct himself. Sometimes it appears that he is not an objective announcer.

Thanks! I feel better now that we have read the "official write up." That darn track announcer describing the action on the fly must of blinked. I'm glad we have the facts now. To bad they didn't include any comments from Meyers... officially.

I love this stuff heading into the Gold Cup week! wink

I listened to the race and Meyers missed the rubber, Schatz saw his opportunity to take the point and sounded like Meyers came down to "chop" once again to try to get back in the rubber but it resulted with him in the wall, either with or without contact from the 15.

Go ask the two people involved if they made contact instead of speculating when you weren't there or weren't listening.

I don't like either of the two, but its good to see the 14 get what they deserved if he decided to try to chop Schatz again. Big difference between holding your line to a win and chopping your way to a win.

So let me see if I understand this right, especially when it came from the "official" write up. When Dollansky makes the comment that he tried a couple of times to get Schatz but just did not have enough room without hitting him, that is not called chomping or blocking or whatever your term is? I do agree that there are times when shit just happens due to this being racing and the name of the game is to win, however, on a rubber down track where no one was able to pass and Donny finds a way to pass by banging wheels. Now that is what I would call using the other driver up! There are several drivers out there, Kinser, Meyers, Saldana, Schatz, Dollansky, just to name a few who are capable of winning on any given night. But there is only one bearing down on Donny's next title at the moment and he mysteriously finds his way into the wall hard enough to destroy the car. Sounds fishy to me and looked very deliberate. Oh by the way there is no illegal car running out there, maybe you should check out some of the older Maxims. You will find a bar or two there also that is not quite right but they will just be fazing them out.

Interesting how you heard all that. I've got to work on my listening skills 'cause that got right by me.

Since we are into the whole disclosure thing... I recognize Donny is the best winged Sprint Car driver in the world right now and I'm not much of a Meyers fan either. Donny has earned my dislike with his ungracious podium speeches when he gets beat once in a while and his lack of approachability in the pits, unless a camera's rolling. I'll be rooting for ANYONE running a local series to beat both of these hot shoes and I love the controversy heading into the Gold Cup.

Last time I checked a chop came from the top to the bottom...a punk assed bitch comes from the bottom to the top!!!

Jason's suddenly the bad guy in this scenario because he's going to make Schatz earn his victories? Somehow now branded a cheater due to an arbitrary specification that has nothing to do with performance...give me an f - ing break!

How many rr tires does Donny have "soaking" in that 55gal drum in his hauler as he heads down Highway 5? None I'm sure...just as I'm sure that he never "experimented" with any sort of timing device used to control wheel spin, or a fuel additive almost indistinguishable from methanol...

Or maybe Tom Deery and his sackless hangers on can't risk upsetting TSR. After all, when they couldn'y secure a title sponsor, TS could! Or could they still be pissed over the whole NST fiasco??

I wonder.

Race the car three races. If you don't like it , for
any reason, return it, without damage, and we'll
refund all your money, build you a new car, or better
yet, bring me someone else's design and I'll use that
to build your next ride!

ok...i was there for night one of the two night WoO show at knoxville this year where shane stewart had to pass schatz and did and went on to win...and anyone there that night would tell you that schatz "USED UP" stewart...schatz made his car 60 feet wide just so stewart couldnt get by him...but stewart still powered right on by him on the backstretch...so if you want to feed everyone on here the bullshit about how meyers ALWAYS chops, fuck off...seriously...i have followed every WoO event this year whether it is in person or listening to it online...ya i am a meyers fan but i can admit when my driver does wrong...and he didnt lastnight...just seems a little odd that jason was only 60 points out from donny shithead schatz at the start of the night and donny needed to push him back alittle...seems like bullshit to me cause there have been PLENTY of times when jason could have done the same to donny but has bigger balls and is a bigger man and just races cleanly...hell jason could have taken donny out at nationals but did he? NO...there was no "CHOP BLOCKING" that happened there...i love how donny complains about it and then everyone assumes it is the truth because donny just expects everyone to move over for him and if they dont then they must be blocking...sorry donny, this isnt napcar...dirt racing doesnt just hand the lead to people...they have to earn it and earn it cleanly...oh well...i still feel a meyers comeback in the making so im not too worried..."what goes around comes around" as made famous by danny schitz... GO MEYERS!!

You keep feeling that comeback!! Let's hear from you when Schatz wins another title this year. We're coming up on the part of year that Donny seals up his championships. Seems like the last visit to the Grove pretty much puts the exclamation point on the deal!! Everyone one of the racers complain about this and that - even your gay Meyers! Good cover he has!! I gaurentee you that Danny wouldn't have done that if there wasn't reason. Like them or not, the Schatz's are a respectable family.Hope Meyers has a few more of these so he can fall out of 2nd place. Dollansky is alot more deserving of 2nd than fag boy. How close is Clovis to San. Fran.? I'm sure you being one of his "loyal" fans would know.

ghs72,

Thanks for the official write up from the Woo, along with the quotes from the drivers.

Congratulations to Donny Schatz and team.

Well now that you have resorted to complete bullshit tactics like calling a professional WoO racer/husband/father a "fag boy", you officially have "ZERO" credibility. You need to study up on both geography and current affairs if you think Clovis is anything like San Francisco. You are sooooo lost on that one it isnt even funny. Clovis is part of the bible belt of California. Seriously though I challenge you to say that crap to Meyers face, you would have your ass kicked in a Clovis, California minute. Wingnut15 is nothing more than a cowardly asshole. If my words are offensive to anyone, tough luck.
Cheers!

If Schatz is heading for the gold cup with a chip on his shoulder about hard, tough racing and looking for payback on saterday for somethings that are sure to happen on thursday or friday he is going to have a long saterday night. The sprint cars of northern CA race tough, "very tough" his left front wheel is going to get a birds eye view of many a right rear wheel, and that is just the facts", mam.

I like facts too. Here is a fact for you, fans are not enamored with Donny. In fact for all his success he sure seems to lack fans. I really hope Donny tries driving at Chico like he did last night, he wont get out of Chico in one piece if he drives someone dirty there. Donny can win races but he sure cant win fans.
Cheers!

BTW, Donny's not getting points on how well the fans like him but on how well he races. Thought you'd like to know that fact!

Wingnut I do believe that you would not know how to talk if you didn't talk shit. So why don't you tell us all how you feel about all the WoO drivers. I already know two, you think Schitz is perfect and can do no wrong, Meyers is gay (what a laugh!) and does everything all wrong. You don't even know where Clovis is but you can bad mouth it. I would like to see you go to that town in April and start your kind of mindless crap talking and see what the cowboys think of you and how fast they would kick your ass. So is Meyers gay because he does not throw punches and go into other peoples pits and start shit? Or is it maybe that he is a gentleman and has class that you don't like him. All of these drivers risk their life nite after nite to put on a show for the fans. Racing is the show I go to see not cage fighting! How did you feel about Jeff Shepard, did he deserve what happened? Do you like to see things like that and then call it "just racin". Try saying a prayer for these drivers and their families, tell them thank you for showing you a good race and if you can not be positive then shut the hell up!

My guess is that Meyers tried one two many chop blocks and this time it bit him in the ass. But that is just an educated guess.... wink

Chop, chomp, whatever people want to call it has been part of short track racing for a long time. It used to be called "shutting the door" on someone. Lots of times a talented driver can find a way around without punting the guy in front.

I'm sorry for offending you. All my post was, was to dish it back to someone else. I never have once said anyone is perfect. This was truly a racing deal, whether you believe it or not - it happens to every single one of the racers out there. If my comments are off, why not yours and anyone else calling Donny by Schitz. If mine is wrong, then everyone's is. I respect everyone of these guys for doing what they do. 99.9% of us posters wouldn't go out and do what they give us!!! Learn by your own post about being positive or shut the hell up. Again, sorry that I offended you.

Technically, most of us have 0 credibility!! This includes yourself as I don't know you and most on here don't either. I'll take back my words about Jason as they were only aimed at someone else. Also, 6'5" and 265 - not sure I'd be the one falling - but anyway. Your words shouldn't be offensive to anyone, but me. And I guess I for one can let those roll off like I usually do since it is only your opinion and that matters to only one person and that's you! At least you aren't on here laying smack at drivers like most of us, so I give you kudos for that!!!
