Damn, you guys are funny. I'm sure everyone that is complaining are still driving around looking for the elusive 5 cent cheeseburger and 0.89 gallon of gas. Keep shopping for that new $3,500 car. Welcome to capitalism and supply & demand.

Do any of you whiny lil Trump bitches now how shit works in this world? Obviuosly not, I hear he loves the un educated.  I don't think you are whining about the 80k house you bought 20 years ago has doubled in price. It's sad you even call yourself race fans. Hopefull dumb people stop breeding and contributing to the de-evolution of society. Now you idiots can go back to staring at your $1,300 phone all day.

All tires have went up about that much,Our main business is agriculture and we have seen several price increases some as much as 5X what we paid for same thing last year.Example RoundUp was as low as $7 a gallon is now $50+ Firestone tractor tires have increased 30%.

NH3 up from $400 a ton to $1500 a ton. Seed up 5%. Rent up 10%. Fuel... doesn't end. Wait this isn't Agtalk, its hoseheads. Smile Hopefully in agriculture as well as racing its temporary. Always quick to rise and slow to fall. Brother in law can't even get Hoosier tires for his sportmod for this year. Pretty concerning as we using have half a season worth stocked you in the shop at this point. Also in car tires you can't always be picky any more. Can be take what you can get. Crazy times.

Apart from the global economic situation, down here in NZ anything in construction is on the rise due to the cost of shipping going through the roof due to Covid interuptions. Race Tyre v Road tyre is economies of scale, race tyres woud probably be in the 100's of thousands produced a year whereas common Road tyre sizes would be in the millions, the more you make the cheaper they get.

I feel for you, moparfarmer.  That's one of the many reasons I got out of there over 32 years ago, when just about anything was already priced much higher than in the U.S., if you could even find it.  I know it is a much more complex issue than just politics, but it still hurts every time you have to pull out your wallet.  Hope all is well with you (other than the prices.)

Well you did at one time get a burger fries and a drink at McDonalds and change back from your dollar. I do suspect some of the really uneducated 33% will start to whine soon. I work in two prominent industries and I can tell you that you ain't seen nothin yet.

2 years ago tires were $200 plus tax, last year $230 plus tax, now 4250 PLUS TAX.

The 4 and the $ sign are on the same key on a keyboard. I guess some people still use those. Lol.

Even though I may not know you, I
care what most of you think!

You are correct, moral of story is to read your post before you send. should be $250 plus tax.

Try again, Jackass. Republicans and Democrats have little control of the quantity of natural rubber being harvested from trees in Indonesia. Not to mention the GLOBAL supply chain issues related to COVID. Maybe you should learn how supply and demand works before speak/type.

Years ago when I was going to school for traffic management businesses were embracing the concept of JIT (just in time) inventory.  They found that they could order when they needed product which cut down some of the labor and warehouse space.  This is a simplified explanation by the way.  At the same time companies producing goods found they could produce their products cheaper off shore.  Now instead of making those products domestically they are produced offshore and shipped JIT.

That works great when all the pieces are in place but any disruption can cause problems whether it's finished product or raw materials.  When everyone tried to open up at the same time it threw the whole balance out of whack.  Add labor shortages and places shutting down for sick employees and here we are.  American politicians always get the blame whatever party is in power but they have little if any influence on what other countries can do about their situations.

Personally my wife decided to have new counters installed last spring.  I tried to talk her into waiting but you know how that goes with wives sometimes.  They came out last fall and put in the cabinets but the counter top supplier went out of business.  This was set up through a well known home improvement chains.  We are at a standstill since last September waiting on counter tops with plywood covered by plastic table cloths as counters.  The sink sits in a box in the basement waiting for counters.  My understanding is that companies in the US are having a hard time getting their imported materials.

Over the years I worked for a seed company traffic department (anyone remember NK Seeds), a hardware distribution warehouse and 29 years for a class 1 railroad.  That is my transportation experience.
