The tracks get no cut of the dirtvision profits? Hmmm, that doesn't seem right. Do FLO and other streaming services share profits with the tracks?

They definitely get something, the Jacksonville promoter posted in IOW about how DV money helped them raise their purse. The size of it is unknown.

Again just speculation on my part, but I believe Knoxville, Williams Grove, Attica, Jacksonville, Huset's, and Millbridge would be in a different situation.  WRG/Dirtvision broadcasts the entire schedule from those tracks (save for any All Star or USAC conflicts) so the track would have to get some money from DV for the broadcast rights.  For tracks that are just on the WRG touring series schedules (Devil's Bowl, Perris, River Cities, etc.) the deal would be completely different.  Also wonder how Flo and DV handle the money for conflicting touring series broadcasts (like WoO at Eldora or All Stars at Williams Grove).

Dont live in Oregon anymore but its sad to not see Cottage Grove or Willamette Speedway on the schedule.

Good question. I've never been to Cottage Grove so I really have no idea. I suspect that maybe the sanction fee is too high for Willamette Speedway. They got shut down by the county for code violations and I think that they had to sink a ton of money into bringing the facility back up to code. What I do know is that the racing at the track has not been good the last few races I have attended there (for sprint cars). It ends up being follow-the-leader with little passing. I'm not sure what has happened with the surface to make it that way.

Saw some of the same things you did on Social Media about Wayne County and agree with your assessment. The track although a very good one and racy one just does not have the infrastructure to hold an Outlaw event. The Outlaw even last year was packed but not really the best accommodations as you said the concession stand line was never ending but more importantly people were standing at the fence or in the aisle way infront of the grandstands because they did not have enough seating for a crowd that size. We ended up getting a pit pass and standing in the pit area just to be able to see everything, and as you said not nearly enough parking.

Being from Ohio I am perfectly happy with the schedule. All the races at Eldora, couple races at Sharon, couple races at Attica, and 1 at Atomic which is big especially with the new promoter. I have no complaints about the schedule as between it and the All Star schedule I will probably get to about 20-30races next year.

Nick, when did Atomic get a new promoter?  I'm not on Facebook so I miss the vast majority of their announcements/info.

I think someone posted a link prior but Charlie Vest is now the other partner involved with Atomic and Brad McCowan is no longer affiliated with the track. Charlie is a former Sprint car driver, has various amounts of experience in other forms of motorsports, and is a successful businessman.

I talked to a couple people on various teams the last couple of races there and all of them are happy with the news and feel he will help the track. All of them seem to have a high opinion of him.

Lernerville has there own streaming service.

That's true. I wonder if Lernerville is not allowed to stream if it's an outlaw race? I could see that being a point of conflict.

Thanks to you and sprintfanatic for the information.  Hopefully "the next level" includes better media presence and a return of the All Stars!

They are not, but that is not new and has been the policy for the last ~3 years. WRG has the streaming rights for Outlaws on DirtVision. I have read it's in the sanctioning agreement and others have said that WRG does not share streaming revenue with the tracks... whether that's true for every single event (I suspect Knoxville gets something for Nationals since you need the year platinum or purchase PPV and I would think Eldora would get something for Kings Royal due to massive purse) but otherwise from what I've read the last few years tracks are SOL as far as streaming.  It seems that WRG got pissed Lernerville dumped sanction for the Late Models for their June Firecracker. WoO may only have the USA Nationals for a late model crown jewel, the other biggest ones I believe are all Lucas Oil LMs.  (but they allow Port Royal to run a Lucas race and gave them Lernerville's mid-summer date).

I think both of those are desires of theirs. I am not sure nor have I heard if they have anything signed for the All Star's next year and it may depend on what dates were available when the new ownership got into play, but I have heard its a desire. I hope to see the All Stars back there but if they are not this upcoming year I will probably just assume that they could not align on dates and hope for 2023. Hoping that they get the 305 series going down in that area as well since it would probably help feed into the 410s down in that area.
