I know exactly who that is, he hates Shatz and Brown and is a huge Mccarl fan. I met him in the campgrounds a few years back, I've givien him plenty of shit about how he hates on drivers. I had NO idea this is how he acts in the stands. Wow.

The fan. They are at every sporting event out there. The drinkers are sometimes worth the price of admission to make total fools of themselves. I've seen some darn good fights in the stands to. Moral of the story, people get beer balls and make fulls of themselves everyday.

Beer makes me full.

If you wnt to see "wack-a-do" fans in the stands, go to Bowmen-Grey Stadium in Winston-Salem, NC.  Quarter mile flat asphalt track inside a football stadium, and they pack the place.  If you a fan of a particular driver, you MUST hate the rest of the drivers, especially those can beat your driver.  When Jr. Miller came on the track 100s of fans all around the track left their seats, ran down to the bottom row, put their arms and hand through the safety fence and flipped the bird.  This was the same for the two Myers brothers and several other drivers.  I was told by a local fan that when the gates opoen, there is a mad rush to get to the bottom seats so they can flip the bird without having to run up and down the steps.  Kind of the opposite for us sprint fans as most want to sit up high for a better view.  There is a lot of beating and banging in all divisions, drivers who get moved over or taken out will circle the track slowly to pay back the dirty deed driver.  And the fans eat this up.  I thought the racing was poor the time I was there, but the local fan said some races are much better.  Without a doubt, the fans were a better show than the races.  All and all, I would say that the track should be on your bucket list, not for the racing, but for the passion of the fans.  By the way, for all of the emotion that I saw, I did not see a single physical altercation between any of the fans.  They are nuts, but peacefull.  some of them were not to keen to have a Pennsylvania Yankee in their area, but I did have a very interesting conservation with several southern Civil War buffs that night.  You get a whole different point of view when you talk with others rather than shouting at other people.  Enjoy the races!

Anyone acting like that continuously should be removed from the stands  I know emotions can get the best of you, and I've cussed loudly during the race in the heat of the moment, but to continously scream F@#k, stand up, and flip double birds---------should be escorted out of the stands.  There are kids that don't appreciate or need to hear that non-stop.  But then again, look at his company.

and i think that was in the no booze(family)section) i&j

I spent seventeen years behind a camera and got into streaming races hard core last year.  I am not offended by the F bomb but using it every word is over the top.  Now when I go to a race I still get a pit pass, walk the pits, shoot hot laps and tt and maybe the Heats then sit in the pit grandstand.   No drinking, no bullshit, people in the pit stands are a rotating group of drivers and mechanics and those who are with them.  It would be hard to watch a race sitting around loud mouth drunks.

One does not realize how much attending big races revolves around alcohol consumption until they back off from drinking.  That's all I heard was references to partying from Winged Nation all the way to interviews adult beverages are held in higher esteem than I realized during my partying years.  At 70 meds, old age and sketchy behavior put an end to the partying.  Might as well watch from home and get pit passes when I attend live races.  This clip reminded me of why I avoid grandstands.

The Chaz......I still can't believe that annoying dick bag gets a single view from anyone. There isn't a human on earth who's more annoying.

The drunk sitting beside me on Saturday night didn't like Brown either.   He repeatedly said "F him, he doesn't even belong out there".    Not sure what he meant by that.   I could barely understand the dude, so I had no interest in a conversation with him.   I was just hoping I'd get out of there without getting a drink spilled on me...

Sections I & J are no booze?   That may be my plan for next year if that's the case.  We love our seats on the back stretch, but on Saturday night the drunks can be a little much.

I would think a simple BOO would be enough.  People like this have no respect for fans setting around him.  He is a crude jerk .It would be nice if the people who employ him would see this video.  If the track knew who he was I would tell him we do not need your money.  There is no excuse for his actions.

I agree 100%.  Once again, there are those who may say something out loud that isn't appropriate.  There are people that drink too much------I feel like I do when I wake up the next day as a matter of fact and I'm around a lot of people having a good time enjoying some cocktails.  But that behavior would not be tolerated if I owned a place of business.  I have been going to the Nationals for 20 straight years now and I have never witnessed anything quite like this in person.

It's funny you mention the employers-----remember the drunk ass firemen years back that threw up all over the family in front of them?  I wonder what ever happened to those "gentlemen?"

Killed a small elephant....Thats priceless.  I remember 3 nats ago doing the same thing with you, and yes, there were probably 6 small elephants killed by us 6, and not one of us was a jackwad in fact, we had the group of about 25 year olds laughing their asses off WITH us.  It was a great time.  If any one of the 6 of us were to act like that guy in the video, I am sure that one of our group would have had something to say about it. Keeping it classy is not hard

I don't remember that!  wink

I remember having a great time in the stands with people of all ages when we are there.  I have had plenty of conversations with older folks that aren't drinking and have had no issues.  I also remember giving a lot of kids fist bumps and high-fives over the years.  I don't ever remember seeing someone acting like that around us.

It's not exactly the same because the guy wasn't foulmouthed or a hater, but I remember many years ago at Ascot there was some drunk sitting in front of us and every time Rip Williams came by he'd stand up and yell "RIP" at the top of his lungs, gesticulate wildly, stagger a little, then fall back into his seat. After a few laps of this it became clear that he got a little too enthusiastic. We started to smell something nasty that we hadn't smelled before then saw a stain on the seat of his pants . Apparently he cheered so hard for Rip that he shit his pants. It was only a short time before his friends hauled him away.

When kids are little, they can't tell when a group of adults has been drinking----unless they act like the moron in the video.  So drink as much as you want-----but when you act like the guy in the video, it's time to go.  The beer I drank in the stands on Saturday night might have killed a small elephant, but I never acted like that and had a great time with those around me and there were kids of all ages in the immediate vicinity.  The problem isn't drinking, it's people that act like that while doing it.  He should have at least been given a warning and then asked to leave if it continued.

Some people can handle their alcohol & some can't. My feeling is that if you use "I was drunk" as an excuse more than a few times, you should quit. You & your friends seem like you're OK, have fun...

I enjoyed drinking back in the day, never a problem for me, but I gradually gave it up years ago. Got tired of hangovers & the less I drank, the less I missed it.

For all we know this fool was sober...

Or maybe not.... wink
