After the thread was brought up about the Oklahoma Hall of Fame for racing it got me thinking. Could somebody/anybody, do up some articles in a where a they now format. Now i am not talking about where is Robert sellers racing since sfs closed or Danny Jennings.. I'm talking about where is Tim Thomas now,, where is Stan Constant... The older drivers who might not show up at a track here or there, the guys who have completely retired from racing, they don't own anybodys race car, maybe just maybe they might come out of the wood work to help out somebody but have basically disappeared from the race eye. I think it would be neat to know what some of our older hero's are doing now!!!

I don't know if he ever raced at SFS but my favorite was Street Stock driver Chris Johnson he raced in Enid in the 80s & 90s when I was a kid. I wonder what ever happened to him and why he quit racing?

I remember Chris Johnson up in enid,, My Dad used to be the head scorer in enid, when Kent Albright ran the track.. Saw many many races from up in the Press Box as a kid sitting next to my Dad. From the Late 80s to the Mid 90s.

McWater is going to school taking his basics and pre-engineering classes at Rose. He plans on going to OU. The family has been focused on that.

Your right and the announcer was Dustin Albright. He was a great announcer. I remember at half time he would get the kids to do theYMCA dance for prizes. Man the stands & pits were packed back then.

That wasn't Dustin Albright who was the announcer, His name was Dustin your right there, and if i remember right the announcer was married to Kent Albrights daughter, and he was if i remember right a police officer there in Enid. Its funny to think about it since my dad passed in 2002, and how much fun i had going there and watching the races and getting to do things around the track that most kids my age at that time would only dream off.. Every once in awhile i pull out a tape when i find it of the 1990 winter-nationals.. for two reasons one my uncle David Flatt Jr, is racing on it and two everyonce in awhile over Dustin's voice you can hear my Dad talking to the Officials down on the track about who should go where and what not.

That would be Jack Claxton, there was none better, other than the original Jack that announced during the Mar-Car years. Jack Miller was a fan favorite and knew all the ins and outs of every driver and fan just as Jack Claxton did.
Jack Claxton's Mother-in-Law jokes were the best. And Jack Miller's knowlege of racing was unbeatable. Two great announcers at one great track, what are the chances of that happening again.
Not to take anything away from the Ward brothers, they both did a fantastic job.

Uncle I was talking about Enids announcers from the late 80's to mid 90s it wasnt Jack Claxton announcing when my dad was working there, He was here at the SFS and yes the best announcer EVER.

This was a partial post last month about Jack Miller.
Unfortunately Jack has terminal pancreatic cancer. After a massive stomach surgery, Jack and his wife Louise decided that his recovery is just not to be and Jack is going to try and enjoy his final days and peacefully ride off into the sunset.
God Speed Jack!

Wasn't there two Jacks in the announcers booth in the early nineties. One called himself just Jack and the other called himself Jackoff. Kent Albright was a good promoter and very fair and if I remember right his son Dustin drove a prostock and I remember Albright and his wife owned an eatery that stayed open after the races. I think I heard where Dustin Albright was a police officer in Enid. Wrench 23 wasn't your dad the head scorer? Ah the good old days

Jett Starr is at Dagwell/Dixie in downtown Oklahoma City. Still a character and loves to talk racing.
Any Greg Wooley sightings?

Well my mom teaches with Wooley's sister and my 2 yr nephew's babysiter is Wooley's mom. ABout that of keeping close to racing. Anyhow, I asked my mom if she knew what Wooley was doing and she said she thought he was driving a Limo and working sometype of construction.
