That powder blue #69 team will need a Brinks truck & a police escort to haul all that money back to the rolling hills of Sinking Spring Pennsylvania. It'll be 1986 all over again.

That powder blue #69 team will need a Brinks truck & a police escort to haul all that money back to the rolling hills of Sinking Spring Pennsylvania. It'll be 1986 all over again.

You'll need someone to lose a nerf bar, have the officials not see it, and have the top four run over it and get flats to be 1986 all over again.
I'm in agreement it's be won in the middle or bottom and think that 1S car could be the car to beat.

i hope nascar will come down in similar ways on guys running over each other for no particular reason. if it's boys have at it with each other it should be the same with doing whatever it takes to get your team into the championship. i thought that's why they developed the playoff system in the first place.

The Wall of Death or motordrome is a carnival sideshow featuring a drum- or barrel-shaped wooden cylinder, ranging from 20 to 36-feet in diameter, in which stunt motorcyclists ride and carry out tricks. Derived directly from US motorcycle boardtrack (motordrome) racing in the early 1900s, the very first carnival motordrome appeared at Coney Island amusement park (New York) in 1911.
The following year portable tracks began to appear on travelling carnivals and in 1915, the first “silodromes” with perpendicular walls were seen. These motordromes with perfectly straight walls were soon dubbed the “Wall of Death.” This carnival attraction became a staple in the US outdoor entertainment industry with the phenomenon reaching its zenith in the 1930s with more than 100 motordromes on travelling shows and in amusement parks.
In the USA Miss Samantha Morgan actually rode a specially adapted bike and side car containing a fully grown Lion around the motordrome

It's an agreement that both sides provide something to the other under the terms of the agreement. If the teams want an extra 1,200-2,000 per race and 35,000 to 300,000$ at the end of the year, they follow the terms, if they don't want those perks, they don't need to follow those terms. Too easy and very understanding of the WRG to compromise for 4 to 8 races allowing those teams to compete elsewhere. You not understanding it, does not make the terms stupid, it makes.......

i couldn't quite figure out why this rule clarification or whatever it was bothered me. you totally summed it up for me.
all the "boys have at it" stuff makes me think they'd rather see drivers fighting and running into each other than doing heoric things on the race track.

I felt the same way until I heard one the current drivers explain it and it made sense. Now that its out there that it works nobody is going to allow themselves to be beat by it. If you didn't outlaw it, on the last lap the leader would automatically do it because he doesn't want to get beat by it and then when the leader does it everyone else will do it and you'll have 36 cars all wall riding the last lap. That's a recipe for disaster and getting someone killed.
