Roth 83 busted with illegal lightweight frame rails again. Will the Outlaws actually punish them this time? From the looks of Twitter it's now public knowledge

Maybe someone can enlighten me (pun absolutely intended!) on this.   Seems like with a minimum weight requirement this wouldn't be any kind of advantage, so I'm assuming somehow this leads to better handling?   Or is there some other advantage to doing this?

The tubing thickness rules are in place for safety. There were rumblings of this going around last weekend. Is there anything more than hearsay?

I heard from a reliable source this morning, and this, in fact, is not hearsay. There's much more to the story, and I was told AR is officially out. Just waiting for the bomb to explode...

Not announced officially yet, but it sounds like they were busted THREE different times for running an old frame with thin tubes.  Painted it, covered it up, etc ... fines and suspensions coming soon.

I don't think you're going to have to worry about suspensions. I heard Roth will be replacing driver and crew chief, both.

A-Aron needs to go back to 360s where everybody cheats and nobody worries about any rules.

Hopefully he is stripped of his win last weekend and Pauline Colagiivanni gets his first outlaw win.

Three strikes and you are out ! Wow. Seems to me that the second one should have been the deciding factor for suspensions and fines, if not for anything other than safety. To me it seems that stupididty of continuing to try to beat the book of rules after two identical infractions is the concern of WRG,WOO and all the other teams and crews. I think a two year full suspension of driver and crew chief are totally reasonable and be implemented. I recall AR saying that on the initial announcement of their teaming up with Roth and that he allowed the crew chief and their car frames to complete the deal - adds up now !

Why punish the driver? Shouldn't it be the guy who built the car?

How is it beneficial to cheat with thinner tubes on the frame?  You save some weight on the frame and add it back in a more strategic spot in order to make the minimum weight.  Does it make that big of a difference?  Are you saving 10-15 pounds or is it "way" more than that?  Is there some other reason to do this?

It's actually nice to see someone pushing the envelope with these cookie cutter cars.

That's my hot take
